Oh well, I bet that book has some great information in it too! DANDR is only about $6, so you can get that one next.

You can get copies of DANDR on eBay or Amazon for a buck or two.

I just read through the Induction part of DANDR and I did not find that much information that was not on the website. It was a bit disappointing for me. I am still very into the Atkins Life Plan, but kinda wish the book didn't ramble so.

I think Atkins for Life is geared towards the later phases (especially Maintanance). It does have some brief basic info. It also has those success stories in it too. Many of the recipes are also higher in carbs and include beans and sweet potatoes. So it will be good to have anyway when you get to those phases (justifying purchase!).

I did an ebay search for Atkins today and there were no less than 6 copies out there starting at less than a dollar.

I actually have both but for me the "low carb bible" is DANDR. I agree you can get most of the information from the website but there is nothing like being able to pick up that book and reread through the chapters in order to ground Myself. I'm not explaining myself very well but After having followed Atkins for over a year I know most of what is in that book. I know what I should be doing and what bad habits have crept back into my life. Rereading that book doest hat for me. scanning the website doesn't give me that same feeling.
