Yes and no. ;) If you are getting your carb counts from an American source such as Fitday, yes, you need to subtract the fibre. But in non-North American countries (including New Zealand) the fibre is already subtracted from labels.
For example, I often use www.dietclub.com.au to get carb counts for local items, but what they call the "total" carbs, is actually the net carb count, ie they have already subtracted the fibre.
