All, I just switched to Armour about 10 days ago. Felt tired for first 2 days..then nice and 'zippy'..until today. I"m tired again. Is this normal, as my body adjusts to the new T3 (was on T4 only, before)....any idea how long it'll take before I might feel normalized (or, atleast as good as I'll feel on this dose?).

Yeah, that's exactly how I felt at first. FBFW -- feel better, feel worse. I kept increasing my dose until the FW part got less and less, by about 1/2g every week or two. Once I got to 3 grains I started feeling pretty consistent with occassional dips. I just had a new blood test at 3g and we'll see where it stands. I have a feeling I'm not 100% optomized yet and will need to go up to 3.5 or 4.

I did notice with my FW periods that my brain fog didn't come back. Even though I didn't feel zippy, it was definitely an improvement from my pre-T3 days.

Do you have any latitude to increase your dose?

Also lots of people say that the FW part is caused by adrenal fatigue. I don't know much about it, my doctor thinks it's hooey, but I just started taking a small dose of Isocort to see if that helps.

thanks for the response, nancy. I'm at 2 grains and holding for about a month to re-do blood work. My Dr. may also suspect adrenal fatigue, as she asked me to to an ASI test..but I haven't done it yet, and really didn't want to pay for it out of pocket?!....

guess I'll have to wait the month out. BTW..I dont' have the old brain fog, just like you mentioned..but really TIRED.

You might see if your doc will just put you on adrenal fatigue therapy without the tests. I think it has a pretty low impact on the body, it's just a very, very small dose of hydrocortisone.

Or you can do what I'm doing, take isocort which supposedly is the same thing but OTC. You're supposed to take them at the times you feel the lowest, however not too late in the day because it can keep you from sleeping.

I'll PM you a link with more info.
