Does any one know of any doctors that can help an old diabetic get on the DR. B. plan? Is there any sort of clinic or group of doctors that understand Endocrinology 101 and those oddites of diabetes? Or even better yet can I get an appointment with Dr. B himself?

I live in Portland Oregon, so I'd prefer someone near by but would be interested to know of any doctor that says he agrees with Dr. B.

Now that I've written that sentence, I feel like I might insult the good people who give their suggestions and advice on this forum. I definitely want your ideas and will continue using this source of help and knowledge with or without a sympathetic doctor.

Grab the Portland area phone book and start calling doctor offices. Ask the questions that you have and see what the answers are.

Or maybe try calling Dr. Bernstein's office and see if they know of anyone in Portland.

Dodger and Squid - thanks. I'll try both ideas. Actually, I called a number in Bernstein book and no one answered. However, I'll try again and then, if that doesn't work, I'll call the operator to get his number.
