:help: Could anyone out there please explain exactly what this is. I am going to look it up and read about it in Atkins but any info from those who understand this will be great.
I am beginning week 2 of induction. I lost 11 pounds last week. I have energy and feel better than I have in a long time. I have a lot of weight to loose and I feel like what I did last week is really good. I don't have to count calories or points. I eat till I am satisfied and have found myself eating less over the last 3 days. I thought keeping a food journal may help so I have been writting down what I eat and drink
:q: Anyway, any info on Ketosis will only help me on my way to being healthier.

Ketosis is a state where your body burns it's own fat for energy, instead of carbs!
It means nothing to the wieght loss, so just do Induction the way the book says, and you will lose just fine.
Put too much into the ketosis thing, and you could get upset!

I am not in ketosis right now, and I am losing! :)

thanks for the info....i plan to do induction for 3 more weeks then see what happens when i move to next phase....but i am happy and satisfied with the foods that i have been eating...plus, i have so much more energy than one week ago.
