 I have noticed on several peoples signatures are mini-goals. I have been scared to set these myself cause if i set one and didnt make it I know I would feel bad but as I get more accustomed to this WOL I find myself wanting to do it. Question is what are reasonable goals?? I know thats probably individual cause we all lose at a different pace but I really dont have a clue what time-frame to set for myself to reach what weight. I lost about 24 pounds on induction so I know this means my metabolism has a low resistance right? Its my 3rd week now and scale isnt moving enough for me to readjust my settings here I think I am down a pound since Friday but want to wait for at least 5 pound increments before I change my ticker cause I never wanna move it back up lol

I can only tell you what has worked for me so far. I set minigoals of 10 lbs at a time in my head without putting dates on it. I didn't put it in my signature as it was always just in my head.

I think we each need to find what works best for each of us. When I join challenges and don't met my goal, its no big deal!! I lost weight and that makes me happy!!

I think that when you have alot to lose, like me and you, its important to not put time limits and just work your plan as well as you can!! It'll happen if we do the work!!

Good Luck!!

I think it's a matter of motivation. Everyone's motivation comes from different places.

I've written down several goals and not met them, but I keep going. I've learned what it reasonable and unreasonable for myself. I'd say that 24 pounds lost during Induction means you may not be metabolically resistant (according to DANDR). People who only manage to lose a few pounds are more resistant. Which is a good thing for you! You may want to set up mini-goals that you feel are certainly achieveable (sp?) so you don't feel bad. Stay away from extremely difficult, unrealistic goals that deep down inside you know aren't possible.
