Did you maybe slack on your water? I have heard many people go up and down 2-4 lbs sometimes because of water (not drinking enough i think).

Hang in there...dont worry...just a couple pounds up and down is perfectly normal..its probably just water weight!

Not to be indelicate, but could it be part of your cycle? It's not unusual to gain at certain times, even if you've been strictly on-plan.

Salt intake, adding new foods...all can play a part. You might want to post a menu and let us look, just in case.

There is a normal, day-to-day fluctuation in body weight, which is why some plans have you weigh daily but chart weekly to verify that there is a downward trend. If you worry about the daily fluctuations you'll make yourself crazy.

I TOTALLY second Sugarfluff on the "making yourself crazy" point. After the unbelieveably rapid weight loss of the first week (9 pounds), I also gained in the second week (1 pound). And in the third week, I STAYED THE SAME. Since then, I've been happily losing about 2 pounds per week.

If you are following the plan CAREFULLY, you WILL see results. Just don't expect them to be as dramatic as they were the first week.

I would also say that a rule of thumb is that you lose 10% of your total weight loss goal during induction. You want to lose 91 pounds. In the first 2 weeks of induction, you lost a net 9 pounds. Looks to me like you are RIGHT ON TRACK.

Give it more than just one more week.

yep 2 lbs gain isnt anything to freak over hun. as a matter of fact, the weight on the scale ISNT an acurate measure of your success at all! like the other girls already said there are MANY things that can make your weight fluctuate throughout the month ( PMS, salt, etc etc). have you measured with a measuring tape? THIS is what will let you know if you are losing inches or not. believe me i know all about wondering what the hell is going on with the scale. too many people let it rule their lives without realizing that they are still having success at inch loss!

what are your calories looking like? as much as no one wants to admit it, the only reason atkins works is because it lowers your calories once you cut out all those carbs you "used to eat". CALORIES, and NOT carbs is what everyone SHOULD be concentrating on, but if its watching carbs that keeps you on the diet then watch those carbs babes! just keep in mind for later that carbs are NOT evil.....just the BAD ONES are. i eat LOTS of carbs on lifting days and i am still losing weight!

feel free to pm me with any questions or stop by my journal ok? hang in there!
