Hi there!
I was just wondering if there was anyone else who was worried about losing weight in the wrong places!!
In the past I've lost weight doing low carb and to put it bluntly, my breasts totally deflated.
It affected my self esteem almost more than being a little chunky ever did.
I would like to get back on the low carb wagon seriously for health reasons and to get into better shape but I have this fear of losing weight.
I'm I weird??

Really??? Hmm, for me it has been the opposite! Low Carb has been the first diet I've ever gone on that didn't do that! I loose in my lower body and when I started loosing in the upper my bras got looser around but the cup size didn't. Thought I'd found the perfect diet. Maybe it's different for everyone.
Don't give up, the rest of your body will fall into place in time! You are just taking it off up there first. Like I said, that is how I always lost on other diets and I was very pleased with the end result! And hey, even flat chested is better than being fat and unhealthy!!! Right??? I'm sure you will end up with a cute little figure when it's all over.

I lost a band size but not cup size in the last 20#. What I think made the difference was lifting weights. By working your pecs you "lift up" what's still there giving the illusion that there is more than there really is.
Good luck!!

I'm losing my upper but not losing my lower and it's driving me NUTS. I still have a big chest, but I'm a little worried, too.

It's funny... The same thing happened to me. After a while your weight will re-distribute. I lost a little over a cup size but they have come back a little. The rest of my fat re-distributed and I am more balanced looking now. I have been at the same weight for over a year and my body looks a lot different now. I have heard of this happening to others as well. It takes time but it will happen.

Thanks for all your input!!
I know it is an insignificant price to pay for health, but after my pregnancy and year long bf experience it left me with some sad looking breasts.
Then when I lc they don't get small as in cute and perky, they just lose their stuffing and look like saggy sacks. Hello National Geographic!!
Anyway, I'm not usually this superficial, but it's hard to compete in this world of silicone globes.
I hope you're right about the redistribution!!
Thanks again

I have been at the same weight (within 2#) since Feb 2004 and look VERY different than I did then. Last year I had a very thin face (too thin) and a big stomach and thighs. Without losing any scale weight, I went down a pants size though redistributing the body weight I have. My face looks healthy and my stomach is 2" down. Go figure.... I don't understand exactly how it happened (don't really care!), but it looks better now....
My SO thought I was "too thin" last year in the face and commented how different I look now. It was funny yesterday, I was wearing a pair of low rider jeans and a tank top and he just went "WOW!"
Lots of water, skin brushing, a couple of body wraps and a steady LC WOL pays off.
Take care, Julie

I never lost a cup size. I ended up with a 24 inch waist. I always tended to have a small waist, even when I was heavy. All my weight settled in my belly, never in my rear. I always had a tight bottom also . Talk about low ride jeans, LOL! This all I wear. Now that's showing off a waist. I shrunk in the strangest places. My neck got smaller, even my feet (although I have the same foot size, it does feel smaller). I think you have a basic type body that you keep even after losing weight.

I agree... I am scared to lose my breasts as well. I love them. I have found that my hips have decreased though-- that's a good thing!!! All in all, my body is becoming proportionate-- and that's not such a bad thing!!!

One thing I've always noticed when I lose weight on any diet is I lose it from the top down.
My face gets thin first, then my neck, then shoulders... etc.
But once I lose more, I agree it does redistribute.
I just can't wait to start losing band sizes. Would be nice to fit into a 38 again so I can buy nicer bras! (Have you guys seen whats out there in a 42C? Oh so not my style!) :D
And one day, maybe I can squeeze into a 36. Oh that would be lovely. I have a broad back, so even at my skinniest, 36 is tough to do. But here's to trying!

Mine all but vanished when I hit my target, I was left with the bags they came in, HOWEVER, just recently I'm noticing my weight IS redistributing - nothing major, but my tummy is a little narrower (gone from 27" to 26") and my butt (that gotta bit small too!) and boobs have definately filled a little and look more curvy (they're still not "globes")!! Strange cos I've been maintaining for over a year and this is a fairly recent development

Me too!!! I hate having to buy size XL shirts because of my 42" rack. I don't feel sexy AT ALL this size. I just feel big. :(

lol! I usually end up in XL or XXL depending on the cut of the shirt, and all they do is make me look pregnant! I will be so happy when I don't have to buy clothes from Omar the Tent Maker. My girls just don't like button down shirts. They keep popping out to say hello!
So every once in a while I check out this site (http://www.designerintimates.com/) I LOVE Felina bras, so seeing them gives me that little extra motivation to get down to a 38 :D

Thanks so much for your post. I can't wait 'till my body adjusts itself. I've lost so much, but I don't feel very pretty because my body is all weird shaped right now. :(

I too am afraid to loose some of my curves. It's an odd dichotomy, I hate being overweight and seeing my fat, yet I like the feeling of substance I have and taking up more room than I ever have. I also have larger breasts than I ever had.
Most of my younger life I was too thin. I think I was annorexic for quite a while. Then, when I sorted my life out and got happier, I gained weight. Now I'm really happy with my life, and at the heaviest I have ever been.
I don't feel healthy, I get out of breath, my asthema is bad. These are reasons for me to loose weight. I also look almost pregnant and have to shop two different departments for top and bottom. Short legs: petite plus. Big upper half: plus department. Grrrrr.
I'm just going to keep slugging away, and work on my emotional 'issues', whatever they are.
Thanks. Just needed to get that off my chest.
With support and willpower we can do it. For me health is prime. My main downfall is lack of exercise. But, I joined a soccer league and played my first game in my life on the weekend. I'm 45. It was fantastic! Perhaps my outlook on exercise is changing. (I hope)
The philosopher in me wants to say that once I can lose weight yet maintain my self-esteem I will gain. The sexy me wants to keep my boobs!
Best of luck all!:rheart:

You will not lose your curves. Breasts are permanent sacks of fat.,,,(for survival, nothing else). They might seem smaller after you lose all your weight. But only becuase you are losing fat around your back. After you lose wieght, you will have mega curves, because you will have a smaller waist. I'm 110 lbs. After I lost my weight, my husband measured me (naked with a tape). I was 36, 24, 36. Now those are curves. Glad to see you are becoming active in sports. You don't have to work out a gym. You can tone your body (as you are losing weight) doing other things. You want to be sexy? Get fit, lose that weight, and show off that body girl! :agree:

I don't think you are superficial.
I dread losing too much weight because I love my 34D size breasts. I was really flat chested growing up and I never want to return to that mess.

I'm new to this board, or "re-new" and checking out old posts. Halla, I have been dealing with similiar issues recently. I had very little to start with and now, I'm at smaller than what should be possible on a grown woman. By the time I reach my weight goal, I'll be forced to shop at children's section for bras! :( To add to my unhappiness, I got a call from my cousin's wife saying she is scheduled to have breast implants in two weeks..... a procedure I've dreamed about and we've discussed at length for years. I'm so depressed that even with all the weight I've lost and the weight I'm going to lose, I'll still be deformed in a way - no breasts and saggy extra skin. I don't know how to make myself feel better right about my weight loss and I know I should be feeling good!

How about we all just switch body parts until we're happy? Trade you a breast for a hip, a skinny wrist for a fuller bottom...hahaha. Oh, if only!
My big gripe is NOTHING that losing weight could change. I'm 5'10''! All of my life I've fervently wished I could be a nice medium 5'7''.
Anybody want a couple vertical inches?

but after my pregnancy and year long bf experience it left me with some sad looking breasts.
I have always been big busted. Until I had my first baby, and nursed her I seriously longed for a reduction, Well... nursing took A LOT off for me. So I would only imagine other nursing Mom's might lose some volume there, too. Though I hear some increase from it...
I am not afraid of losing my chest, in fact I relish the idea of it shrinking right along with the rest, I admit I am more exicted to see inches coming off there than anywhere.
I suppose this comes into always wanting whatever I don't have... grass is always greener theory!!! ;)
All things considered... for me, being healthy beats all. Maybe get a nice push up and the rest of the weight will come off and you will look lovely!!!

I'm 5'1" and would give ANYTHING to be taller, even 5'10"!!! :p

If we split the difference then I believe Serrelind and Amory will both end up about 5'5. Happy now? Me, I'm only 5'3, but I don't mind. I like being "little". The word petite has always appealed to me in more ways than one. :)
If Frankenstein were around today, he'd take the hips from one, the breasts from another and the shoulders from a third..... I'd gladly "donate" the ample supply from my butt to those in need in return for breasts. Its too bad fat transplants don't work, otherwise I could look like Dolly Parton (boob wise that is)!
Red, push up bras are nice and all, but when they come off? Eeeek! Have you ever seen the look of sheer disappointment when foundation garments come off? I've had men tell me they think "Where'd her boobs go?" Not a good thing.

I am 5"7.5 inches tall and have always felt too tall. Wish I were like 5"4 so that I could wear heals without garnering strange looks from people. LOL!!!
