I am no expert but somewhere I read that potassium helps with the muscle aches and pains. I had them really bad the 1st week but now they are gone and I have noticed that aches and pains in my joints have disapeared now as well. It cant hurt to try it.

Well I took Motrin, and a hot shower that pounded on my shoulders, and by the time I ate dinner it seemed to have drastically reduced... maybe had something to do with stress too, or maybe food? Anyway I went ahead and bought potassium 99mg. I am going to take 1 of those so the tension hopefully will not return today-I miss working out and I have SOOOO much to do around the house etc.!

You're likely doing something new, or not doing something old, or both?
I need regular yoga, and regular strength training, or else it's really easy to accidentally overwork something. Once the tension is there, it's really too late and I have lots of strategies for fixing it but none are as good as avoiding it in the first place.
Epsom salt soaks (2 cups in a bathtub of water) are good for muscle problems.
I see a neuro-muscular therapist--aka "deep tissue" massage--when I can't get rid of a particular ache on my own. Chiropractors can help, too.
