Can anyone give me some good suggestions/ tolerable food choices when just getting over the flu? I know that before, when I was doing Atkins and got sick, the LAST thing I wanted was meat and veggies and even cheese. I don't want to stray too far from SBD because in the past it's been very hard for me to get back on track after being sick and eating bland things like potatoes and ice cream. Anyone else in the same boat?

I got sick last year. I had sf jello, chix broth, some juice, and yes I even had crackers as that's all I could handle. (saltines) I lived on this for about 3 days. I didn't loose any weight while I was sick, but as soon as I got back to eating I started loosing again. My suggestion is eat what you can. If you are sick you are sick. Then get right back on plan when you feel better.

Thanks, Skippie!
I ended up making some some soup, using beef broth, oinions, broccoli and cauliflower. I sprinkled some low-fat cheese on the top. It was good. I also made this sorbet stuff using frozen strawberries w/ 1% milk and blended it. I added some splenda, it was great. I know I'm not supposed to have fruit during phase 1 but I figured this is OK, being sick and all. I am missing crackers today so I may have some ww saltines and not worry about it. As long as I don't 'stray' too far, I'll be fine. Hope everyone else is healthy this week, that flu is a monster!
