Hello everyone- I am new to your forum but I have found some good information here so far! I am very frustrated with my progress on South Beach. Granted I have only been doing this since April 26 but as of today, I have only lost 2/3 lbs. I must not be doing something correct in Phase I. I wonder if anyone else has had this problem/frustration!

I don't do South Beach (I'm an Atkins person) but during my two week induction period I lost absolutely nothing. At some point that changed, though, and I bet it will for you, too. Perhaps you should make a thread posting some of your daily menus for people who are well versed in South Beach (I've read the book so I know a little) to critique and see if they can find anything that you might need to change.

SugarFluff, you said you didn't lose anything on induction. I am in that same boat. I'm just about through w/ my first 2 weeks of induction, never cheated, and I know I'm in ketosis. I've dropped 2-3 lbs but I'm sure that's water weight. At what point did you really start to notice a change? Do you recall something imparticular that sparked it?
I'm not thinking of giving up or anything, because I realize this is bound to happen if I follow it correctly, but I could always use a bit of encouragement an reasurrement (sp.?) that this WILL happen for me.

Hey rosie...
I am a sbdieter and could u list your menus and that way we can see what you have been eating..Have you followed it to what you can and can't have? I lost close to 8 pds the two weeks on phase 1. Did you start on that phase? But, dont give up..just eating healthier is the best you can do for your body/mind/and soul..
Give it time..things will happen..Think positive and drink your water..you can look at my journal and see what I have been eating. I had to go back on phase 1 due to being lazy and not following the plan and I did gain the weight..But, I knew that I had deserved it..
