Ahhhh candy. If memory serves me right...the more sour it is the better, and if it rubs my tongue raw, I'm in love. And I want some. Immediately!! I went to a diabetic website that carries a huge variety of SF candy and their prices are astronomical. I'm talking 14.99/lb of gummy bears astronomical. I'm actually only interested in sour candy, and can't find much of a selection here. Can anyone help me? Any brand names or websites would be appreciated. Thanks in advance!! Have a great night!

****Disclamier: I know the sugar alcohols risk and I'm willing to take that risk. I've had no problems with SA's in the past, and very very rarely have anything with SA's present. If my hair happens to fall out, I go crosseyed, or gain 30 lbs I promise I'll quit eating the candy! :agree: :yum:

There are recipes for gummi-type candy in the recipe threads... I remember reading about gelatin, kool-aid powder and splenda.

I'd imagine if you use the lemonade flavor, you could get it quite sour. There once was a person posting about just putting the powder on their tongue...<shudder>

Walmart carries both russel stover gummy bears and sour gummy worms.

If you want to give your homemade gummy bears some sourness, you might try some vitamin c (ascorbic acid) or some citric acid, if you can find some.

I think the brand is Carborite (?) and they make little jelly candies, including sour gummy worms. I bought them from Walgreens or CVS.

Think Thin makes sour slices that are excellent, and sour worms.
