which workout do you think is better?

40 minute run at 5mph every other day
or every day.. 20 minutes of weights and 20 minutes of running at 5mph.

Which do you think would make for quicker weight loss? :)

Well, I would incorporate both options every other day.

The weights build more muscle, and muscle utilizes your calorie intake, so the more, the better!

Running increases your endurance.

Both give you endorphins!

If it was me, I'd alternate with them!

When you do the weights, are you doing a full body workout or specific body parts?

My workout plan is like this

sunday full body workout then cardio
monday cardio
tuesday full body workout then cardio
wednesday cardio
thursday full body workout then cardio
friday cardio
saturday off day

Doing weights will help reduce muscle loss when low carb dieting..I know on my plan,i lift weights to reduce my glycogen storage, when you deplete the glycogen storage you burn more fat...and retain muscle. hope this helps

Thank you :) I do full body toning and weights... so I suppose I will alternate them.

It depends on how you are weight training, but IMO, it's pretty much a wash between the two.

If you structure your weight training in a circuit with minimal rest, then I would go with the 'every day' option.

You could always alternat them every couple of weeks.
