I feel I am learning so much everyday living the low carb life. I still have a ways to go before my first goal but the question of graduation and weddings has come to light. I am not a big drinker but I do enjoy a drink every now and then. I do know that the alcohol burns before the fat and all the downside of drinking but I was wondering if anyone knew the carb content of Malibu Rum? I have literally looked everywhere and I seen on one site that it was "0" and then on another 5.3! So I am really needing some help with this. I know that harder liquors have little or no carbs but I am not big on whiskeys, brandys and such. Can anyone help me? :D

Flavored rums have carbs, straight rum does not. You might want to try a flavored vodka (which seems to not have carbs) with a diet soda. I prefer wine most of the time, so I select a dry red or white (cabernet or chardonnay), which has a few carbs per glass, but it helps me enjoy without endulging.

Just a word of caution! Alcohol may affect you more than you are accustomed to!

What about a glass of Scotch or Gentlemen Jim (vintage Jack Daniels Kentucky Whiskey). There's no carbs in either. But, I'd better ask. Thanks, Edward
