Hi
I know it was explained to me before, but I must be doing something wrong.

I want to enter Sherry and other cooking wines as custom foods. But the calculator keeps telling me that I'm entering 195 cals per serving but it totals 1328 total cals.

Here's where I got the information about the nutrtional breakdown of Sherry:
Calorie King (http://www.calorieking.com/foods/food.php?category_id=34179&brand_id=1&food_id=72705&partner=)
The SBD uses wines in a number of it's dishes and so I'd like to have the real nutritional info in my PLAN.
Thanks for your help.

You need to enter the number of grams of alcohol, so it matches the calorie count. For 195 cals, it would have about 28 grams of alcohol.

It did finally enter into the custom foods category with your good instruction.

I'm assuming ethyl alchohol and not alchohol sugars. When I 'm looking up that information which number would it be on the label -- or is it on there at all?

Is there some kind of table I can use to calculate or is there a specific number of grams per ounce of alchohol?

Ethyl alcohol is the one for alcoholic beverages.

The standard values for calculation are approximately:

Fat: 9 calories per gram
Protein: 4 calories per gram
Carbs: 4 calories per gram
Alcohol: 7 calories per gram
