Hi just wonder if you guys made your own or bought it? Just a little confused because the kind in a can/tub does contain sugar but it seems as if everyone uses it.

I make my own. I actually bought and ISI whipper. You pour cream in it, splenda or other SF syrups, close the container at the charger shake and spray!
Or if you can Land O Lakes makes it already in the grocery store with Splenda. Some people are having a hard time finding it.

I make my own with heavy cream and vanilla. If I want it sweet I add just a tiny bit of splenda.

I've been buying the land-o-lakes with Splenda. There for awhile I was HUNGRY all the time. I've added this to my coffee and I've seen a huge improvement in my appetite, as in I don't have an appetite. I'm hoping this will help with losing. Just an experiment. We'll have to wait and see. It also helps with some cravings I was having. Russel stover move over.

Never used canned whipped cream, so easy to just whip up my own with splenda and a touch of vanilla.

What is an ISI Whipper? I have no patience to whip cream! Does this froth eggs too?
I try not to buy Whipped Cream. As it only has <1 g carbs and 20 kcal per serving, I have waaaay more than a serving (no self control here) and it adds up pretty fast.

It is this. (http://ww1.williams-sonoma.com/cat/pip.cfm?skus=4795415&pkey=xsrd0m1%7C15%7C0%7C%7C%7C%7C%7C%7Cwhipper&gids=cw196&cmsrc=sch)
I did buy mine from William Sonoma, but I bought the smaller one which was $40.00 Kind of expensive up front, but in the long run it is so much better-you know exactly what is in it...there aren't any extras in it. I love it!!
It won't do anything to eggs...but the whipper comes with some recipes....

If I am lazy I buy the redi whip, but usually I would make it myself, its easy and there really is no carbs in it!

I love whipped cream, but I do not understand what you are all eating it with... the only way I ever had cream was with chocolate desserts or fruit salad and that kinda thing.. which I know longer choose to eat. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.. and does anyone have a hot chocolate (lc) recipe?
Thanks heaps :)

HELLO TO MATT! Hehe...I know you from lowcarbfriends.
I think many people just eat whipped cream "straight".....
I'm a bit concerned about those of you who eat Reddi-Whip. Where I come from (Canada) it has sugar in it. All cream/whipped cream has carbs in it--it's about 1 carb per teaspoon of cream before it's whipped. There's no such thing as carbless cream.
I don't even know why I'm reading this thread--I HATE whipped cream!

I usually just buy the redi-whip at the store, it is a good topping for jello.

I eat whipped cream on fruit, sugar free jello, sugar free pudding, coffee, and hot chocolate. Most hot chocolate brands have a lower carb type - you just need to read the labels of all the diet kinds. Also, I make it sometimes with cocoa powder, splenda, and cream.
You can also eat it on some kinds of low carb desserts if you make them - low carb cheesecake.

1 TBSP (or more) cocoa powder, add some cream to make a runny paste, sweetener to taste, add hot water and top with whipped cream. Enjoy!!

I usually make LC mousse by whipping the cream to soft peaks.. (about one cup) adding 2 tablespoons of unsweetened cocoa powder and about 4 tables spoons of splenda.
Whip that all together again...eat! Makes about 4-6 servings.
Heavy Cream that I use is 1 carb per 2 tablespoon....

I used to make that all the time but I would over-beat the cream a little so it was denser. I've been avoiding heavy dairy consumption lately so it's been awhile! The good part of very little dairy for me is the weight is falling off and my sinuses have cleared up. It's been worth it.
