I was at the store the other day and I saw a bag of these, hot and spicy flavor and I bought it to try it out. They are only 60 cals/serving and the bag contains 3.5 servings. If you ended up eating the whole bag (which is likely as it doesn't seem like much) it wouldn't be TOO bad. Anyways I thought they were pretty good...has anyone else tried them?

I haven't tried microwavable ones, I do the butter and cinnamon and splenda in the oven... it makes a no carb treat...

I tried them and ended up making ONE bag, and throwing away the rest. My kids were threatening to move out otherwise! The smell was indescribably bad.

Microwavable pork rinds are one of the things that has made the low carb WOL a success in our family.

They not only make a great carb free ingredient for many dishes, such as breading for chicken, or flour for pancakes, but they are far and away the best snack food for low carbers.

They are very low fat, and zero carbs, but with huge amount of protein, and you can't eat a very large quantity without feeling filled up and very satiated.

They adapt to all kinds of dips and make up for the loss of chips and crackers. If you eat one ounce of freshly popped pork rinds, with a cheese or salsa dip, you won't be wanting anything else for several hours, at least I don't. Pork rind pancakes are also very delicious and very filling, but with zero carbs and not much fat.

The brand we prefer is J&J Critters from Texas, and come in a 10 ounce tub. They come in several flavors but we have settled on just getting Plain, as the flavors are lame, and it is much better to create your own dips and flavorings as you are cooking with and eating the pork rinds.

These microwavable rinds are 100 times better than the stale, salty snack rinds that are sold in most grocery stores and convenience stores. An entirely different taste and experience, IMO.

One of the best ways to keep guys who like crunchy snacks on the Low Carb WOL is to have a ready supply of microwavable pork rinds on hand.
