i know how everyone is allways talking about pizza and their pizza cravings. I was just wondering if anyone has tried the 12 gram lean pockets supreme pizza pockets? They look good and im in out of induction so i was thinking about trying one. I think i'll wait untill a little deeper in owl tho, my carb count is only up to 30 now and i would rather eat fresh fruit, nuts, salads and veggies than waste so many of my carbs on one of those. They are something i plan on trying one of these days.

I believe people seem to like them, but they contain Trans Fats, so I decided against buying them.
I believe you would be happier eating whole foods (fruit, nuts, veggies, salads), getting your carbs that way :)

i looked at them, but the ingredients list is full of junk (including trans fat) - personally i would never eat them myself.

how about the red baron pizzas? i know some eat them. i'm guessing they're better for you than the lean pockets?

nope just as bad if not worse. tons of sodium, and they have trans fat as well.

I have tried the HOT POCKETS ULTRA. They taste FINE (actually pretty tastey), but yes, I know that they aren't the best for you. The funny thing about them is that, they are small... not a meal, so I would eat the middle, then refill it with some more filling... usually like american cheese and bacon and then eat it entirely. I don't like to be hungry after eating. LOL.

Sometimes, and it's only my opinion, but if you're in a fix and simply can't get to eat anything else, then something like that isn't going to kill you. I would never endorse eating them every week or anything, but once every few weeks would be ok in my book. sometimes transfats included we have to remember we are trying to eat a *balanced* diet, and that doesn't mean cutting out ALL bad things 100% of the time, on those 3 or 4% of times where we don't have a choice, I think these things would be ok.

jade... I agree with you... I would NEVER said "eat transfats without worry." I would say, though that some of these products have so little hydrogenated oils that the label still can claim 0 Transfats. I wouldn't eat these items often, but once in a while 'probably / hopefully' won't kill us. LOL

I have tried the Red Barron Pizza. It was about week 3-4 when hubby was still doing this with me. We shared one of these and an order of hot wings from Pizza Hut. We thought we had died and gone to heaven. In a pinch or "on ocasion" I would eat it again. I know now that there are better alternatives for pizza.

Yeah... I don't see (on occassion) trying things like these pizzas as being a problem, but not all the time. I have found that I will be strict for a couple weeks, then I will be relatively strict, in which I will try little treats, but all in all still following the diet.

thanks for the info guys, since the lean pockets ultra are small i'd have them as a side for a salad or something. But yeah once in a while is the best way to have these things. Moderation is key!!
