Let me preface this tirade by saying -- all supplements, diets, drugs, ... can have differenet effects on differenet people at different times. What might work great for you may not work for me (and vis-a-versa). Likewise, what worked for me two years ago -- might not work for me today.

About a year ago, I kept reading over and over about how CLA builds muscle and burns fat. That is exactly what I wanted to do. So I have been taking it for a year. I assumed that it was just another one of the Omega 3 fats. However, my fat burning and muscle building slowed during that year. I just figured that it was because it was my second year and things went slower in your second year than your first.

Every month or so I stop taking all supplements except for maybe a mega multivitamin and some Omega 3. Then I start adding my supplements back in. I noticed that when I stopped taking my other supplements, my appetite went down. As soon as I added the CLA, my appetite and cravings went way up. I stopped CLA again, my appetite and cravings went down. So I cut out the CLA altogether.

My results for the last month have gotten me more compliments and visible results than I can remember in a long time.

I rechecked all references I can find about CLA and they all say -- builds muscle and burns fat. Guess I'm the lucky one it works the opposite on!
