Well.. I will try but 25 lbs for me would put me about 20 lbs past my goal. I was going to change my goal to 200 lbs anyways so this is going to be good.

July 7th, 2001 - 298 lbs

I think this will really help me to stick to this even more. It's great that I have a place to compare notes and get advice with others that don't criticize low-carbing. An added plus is this challenge. I hope that I can do this. Now I will REALLY have to stick to my exercising, too!

Looking forward to getting to know everyone,

hi guys,

I posted on the daily low carber last week... but here I am now.

stats

10/23/01 - 205 lbs
10/29/01 - 201 lbs

not bad eh?

the secret for me is not to cheat LOL!!!

I did so well this week end. I made my hubby porridge (secret recipe ;) ), and banana bread!) and I didn't eat any of it!! YAY!! That was hard. I accidently licked the batter spoon once! LOL does that count???

Went out to a restaurant for breakfast and I told the waiter I couldn't have gluten or starch with my omelette, so he came out with my omelette and lots of fresh veggies, instead of toast and potatoes! that was nice!! so he got a big tip!

good luck guys and gals! post ya next week!

Yay! I was able to lose as well!! 3 lbs! You're right Steph, the key is not to cheat. (I did cheat over the weekend, but had already lost and did not gain...whew...lucky for me, back on track this week!) I also added in a couple of runs (2 miles each) when I had time. It was nice just go out and do it without dreading a scheduled exercise time. Felt bad that I didn't do anything yesterday. Hopefully I've started a trend!

I forgort to post my numbers for last week: 161/148/125

This week: 161/145/125 20 lbs to go!

CONGRATULATIONS ... Looks like everyone (but me :() has lost weight. Great going folks!

I just started this challenge today so don't have any weight loss to report.

I'm curious about the way people are posting their stats, is that just for this challenge rather than their total LC stats? By this I mean ...

I began over a year ago so I post my stats as:
Beginning weight/current weight/goal weight
174/160/120

But for this challenge should I post this way?
160/Monday's posting weight/goal by Christmas weight?

Hope someone can answer these questions.

Ciao,
Norma June

Oh by the way, this morning we left early (we have an appraisal business and often eat on the road).

We drove into Tim Horton's at a rest stop and got coffee. I went to a sub shop and asked the gal if she would just sell me some meat slices ... she said "sure!".

My DH got a sub and I had 8 slices of meat. She rang it in as "Extra Meat" and charged me 97 cents.

I thought I'd mention this in case any of you are hard pressed to get something to eat on the road. Next time I'm going to ask for one of those big slices of cheese they have there.

I don't know what you were losing before, but 2 pounds in one week is FABulous. The closer to goal, the slower it gets - you have less percentage of body fat to lose.... so 2 pounds on the smaller person that you are is a lot!

Ok. You've all convinced me, I'm in too.
Today's weight 154lbs (but due for TOM tomorrow, so not sure how inflated (bloated?) that number actually is)
25 by Christmas puts me at 129lbs , one lb under goal. Woohoo!
Don't know if I will make it as that's a little over 3lbs a week, but will try.
My minigoal is 4lbs by Nov 11, my two year lc anniversary.

I know.. I'm very lucky to have lost as much as I did. Just am use to big loses then it slows down when I am near my goal. I am my worst critic. Everyone says I look great and shouldn't lose anymore but I still see little pieces of fat on me. Thanks for the encouragement.

I've lost 1lb since Monday - perhaps I shouldn't weigh myself every day but I feel I need to know how I'm doing.

I AM DEFIANTLY UP FOR THIS CHALLENGE!!!

last time I weighed was 10/23...was down 10 lbs then.

Because of my shift...I cannot weigh mondays all the time...I work on rotation, and want to get a good nights sleep and a good morning bathroom trip before I weigh. So my next Weigh day will be....Nov 3

Even tho I haven't weighed myself for a while, I sure feel it melting off of me. I feel like I have lost 10 more at least. I know that is not realistic...but that is how it feels. Another 10 lbs and I won't be able to wear my wedding rings. They are already so loose. [My perfect indicator of how I am doing] My jeweler is gonna freak...I just got him to make them bigger...HAHAHA Perhaps he will have to size them so many times, that I will just have to get a different set. I'm thinkin' with a bigger rock...Yes I think that would be the ultimate gift for reaching my goal. Now if I could just get the ol' miser off the couch and into a jewellery store...Hmmmmm....LOL....I am getting a head of my self here...Oh ya right...ok...25 lbs for Christmas. I am definitely in!!!
Off to take the dog for a run. [Okay...not that motivated yet. She can run...I'll just lag behind..LOL] :p

Your reply is great encouragement for me. I mistakening got on the scales after only 2 days - couldn't stand it anymore - scales showed about 1 lb - but I put on clothes this morning that were quite restricting last time and I think I'll be able to hang in them all day today, so...... maybe it is working!

I say you go girl for that new set of jewerly  - maybe when he sees how good your looking, he'll get off that couch and quick! Keep up the good work.

Thanks for replying and have a great day!!!

I've only lost 2 pounds in a week, and I'm on Atkins' induction (2nd week)!
Is it normal that I've lost so little?

(The 180lbs that I said I started with was probably an exageration - I had no scales before I started, and I FELT that lardy!)

We have to be losing an average of 3lbs a week to succeed, & I haven't reached my "plateau" yet. This is beginning to appear unattainable.

Motivation required...

Charyl
Thu, Nov-01-01, 08:59
I'm new to this too - but not to the diet scene in general :( but maybe you are just eating too much - remember calories DO count! Drinking lots of water also helps and of course that dreaded E word (exercise) Maybe if you aren't doing any of these, trying them could help jump start your ole engine!?

Good luck and PS whats the PP plan?

Remember they do count, and most people tend to not eat enough when starting out on this WOL, a hold over from low fat / restricted calorie FAD diets. 10 to 12 times your body weight is the minimum you should be eating to keep your body functioning and not bring on starvation mode.

Jeff, I found your original post in the Group Journal and moved it to Introductions and replied. Why not stop over and introduce yourself. :)

10 to 12 times your body weight!! In a day, week or month?
I don't understand this bit. Is this just weight of food. Or Food plus liquid, or just calorie intake? and over what period? What am I missing here?

Charyl - When I wrote PP I meant Protein Power. It reduces the Carb content of some foods by removing the fibre element (which is non digestible). Natruska does it and has reviewed the book.

Nat - I saw your helpful comments. I think you will find me duly "introduced".

10 - 12 times body weight would be 1750 - 2100 calories of food a day for you, Jeff. Liquid is water and that is 8 glasses a day minimum. You need both the food and water in those quantities for basal metabolic functioning; less over extended periods of time will cause your body to hold on to water and fat as it prepares for what it thinks is coming, namely, famine.

Nat.

P.S. charyl, PP and PPL are reviewed under "Low Carb Plans" off the main forum. In fact, most of the LC plans available are reviewed there for your information.

Due to some excess water gain and its subsequent loss last (and this) week, I need to change my weekly goals. My previous goals have been trashed.
End of everyone's Week 1, I thought I would weigh 166 (and that's how much I did weigh when I figured out my projected weekly goals), but I weighed 163.5 (so my goal weight should be 138.5), which was almost my week 2 goal.
Future Stats were:
Day 26, 11/05, (Week 2) - 162.875
Day 33, 11/12, (Week 3) - 159.75
Day 40, 11/19, (Week 4) - 156.625
Day 47, 11/26, (Week 5) - 153.5
Day 54, 12/03, (Week 6) - 150.375
Day 61, 12/10, (Week 7) - 147.25
Day 68, 12/17, (Week 8) - 144.125
Day 75, 12/24, (Week 9) - 141

It would have also been confusing to me to leave them the way they were (when giving my weekly updates) and it would have been confusing to anyone who was reading my updates.
Can you tell I'm psycho about structure (and order) and math

So here are my new goals...
Day 26, 11/05, (Week 2) - 160.375
Day 33, 11/12, (Week 3) - 157.25
Day 40, 11/19, (Week 4) - 154.125
Day 47, 11/26, (Week 5) - 151
Day 54, 12/03, (Week 6) - 147.875
Day 61, 12/10, (Week 7) - 144.75
Day 68, 12/17, (Week 8) - 141.625
Day 75, 12/24, (Week 9) - 138.5

Hi again everyone. Just a little note to let you all know that I am still in this thing, but wont be able to do my Nov 3 weigh in due to the fact that I will be out of town. I will be home on the night of the 5th, so will weigh in on the morning of the 6th. Hope you all are having great successes.

LCing is a journey, a learning process and a WOL; it is not a competition.

Nat, I agree with you 100% here! But it is nice to have something to push yourself toward. Even if we don't make it, as some bodies lose slower than others, at least we will have given it a shot. And so...if I am only down 15lbs..or 10lbs by Christmas, I will be happy because I am still that much less.

I WILL NOT SET MYSELF UP FOR FAILURE AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!
THIS HAS BECOME MY WOE AND WOL!!!!!!!

I'm sorry if I offended or intimidated anyone because of my previous competitive statements earlier in this thread (they are now removed).
I do think that We chose LC to lose weight and get healthy; we are all winners. But, this thread was started as something fun and motivating (both for ourselves and to see others' progress) and also mildly competitive. If my comments were inappropiate, I do apologize, but I did not think that they were out of line from what others had been writing and was meant as a "lol" kind of comment, a light-hearted JOKE .

I know that we are all typing here (and I hope you realize that to), and sometimes comments and statements can come off rude (because of room for interpretation), but now I get to be the "voice of gloom and doom," because there were other ways you could have handled my statement that would not have made me feel so horrible. For example, "Erin, even though you a highly enthusiastic about this challenge, you need to remember that this is a competition for yourself, and that others might be offended by such "competitive" statements" and then continued with parts of your original statement about LCing.

I know that I can do and love the LC WOL. It was nice to have met and been apart of your journeys. Good Luck everyone.

Erin, your post was not rude nor was it offensive. And my comments were not directed at you specificially, but at the spirit of competition "Challenge" evokes. You were simply the first to use the word "competition". The intention was not to make you feel horrible, it was not intended to make anyone feel anything. It was intended to get everyone to think about LC and why they chose this WOL and to hopefully accept and be pleased with whatever losses they acheive by Christmas.

I am sorry you felt singled out and horrible.

Dear Erin,

I hope your last post was not in reference to anything that I posted. I certainly did not mean to imply that anyone was inappropriate here. I simply was agreeing with Nat about the whole competition thing. It is for ourselves. I think we all realize that. : ;) And hey...Some people thrive on competition!

I will be cheering for you!:cheer:

well.. my first week on this challange ended thursday. I do a weekly local weigh in Thursday nights, so I think I will post that weight each week. Though, it is in the evenings, and I am heavier at night, the scale is more accurate then my own at home.
So.. the verdict is.... after week one....
down 3.5 lbs
went from 209-205.5
YIPPPPPPPPPEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
(just a little excited.. :daze: hehe)
if i get down my 25lbs by Xmas..... I'll be 184.. that will be the lightest I have been since i can remember. I always was a little porkchop from birth on!!
Losing weight feels really good, and my boyfriend is happy for me as well. Since Ive managed to stay out of my kids halloween candy, not even a nibble, he bought me a dozen roses. They are beautiful. What a sweetie.
have a great week everyone, and congrats to everyone for sticking with this LCing WOL!

Yea for you!!!!! I know you feel great! This is the end of my first week on the program and I will weigh tomorrow morning to get my verdict. I couldn't stay off the scales last week and I was donw 3 lbs., si I'm already pumped up!!! Even if that's what I end with for the week I'll be happy. It was alot easier than I thought it would be this weekend - many of ya'll gave me some great ideas that got me through Sat and Sun! Thanks - they all worked and I stayed on the program.

25 lbs by Christmas would be the biggest prest I could get!

Keep up the good work!!!

I dreaded that cold, hard walk to Mr. Scale this morning. And, alas, it proved why!

10/22 - 179

11/5 - 176

Can't even blame it on TOM

Oh well...today is another day to get it right...

Lisa - not bad - could just be water weight - after a weekend I wouldn't get too down - the best thing is to just get back on track and keep on going - my biggest downfall on days like this is that I say forget it - and keep falling off the wagon - the new me is trying desperatly not to let set backs continue!

You've come a long way - just look at your progress so far! Yea for you! I hope I can get pass my first 10 pounds - I will be sooooooooooooo happy :D :D :D

Ok, first weigh in for me in this challenge:

10/30/01 -- 154
11/05/01 -- 153

Not bad. A pound a week would give me a 7lb loss before Christmas. I'd take it. However I just started adding (more) cardio to my WOL, so I expect a little more. I want a solid 10lbs loss before Christmas!

So far, so good, though!

Hello fellow LCers...Here are my stats...

Last Week: Day 18 on Atkins, Date - 10/28, (end of Week 1 in the Christmas Challenge) - This was my start date - 163.5

This weeks goal: Day 26, 11/05, (Week 2) - 160.375

Final Goal: Day 75, 12/24, (Week 9) - 138.5

But today the scale said I was, 159...so I'm having a scammbled eggs party:)
4.5 gone and 20.5lbs to go...
Next weeks goal is on Day 33, 11/12, (Week 3) to be 157.25.

Have a great day everyone and see you next week.

Mon, Nov-05-01, 12:20
I think there is something wrong with my scale too. I have been steadily following my plan...have not weighed in well over 2 weeks, and when I jumped on this am...I was only down 2 lbs. I mean, I am glad the scale went down, but that was a let down. And it can't be right. I only have a real cheap scale...I could probably go back and it would tell me 5 lbs...it just is not accurate. So...I will take the 2 lbs...and try not to be depressed, after all...it is down... not up...but definately getting a better scale!! :(

Erin4980
Mon, Nov-05-01, 12:39
Hey how do you feel? If you feel good, forget the scale:) I think I judge my weight loss more on the way my clothes feel. I get more graditude from that that anything...If I get bored at home, I try on old clothes to see how I'm doing. If you think that the scale is wrong, well than it is...
I also see that you've lost 12 lbs. in slightly over a month and that's awesome

Keep smiling, losing weight should never be depressing:) I may see you at the store - looking for more accurate scales:)

Hey Erin,

I know that you are right, but still I can't help feeling disappointed. I was just looking so forward to seeing the numbers go down. I only weigh once a month now because I obsess over the stupid numbers.

As for the clothes, they are fitting better. I can wear a pair of jeans that I haven't worn since last Feb. So that is a good thing. And those big ol' Momma underwear are getting baggy...lol. So that is a good thing too. My hubby says he can really notice now. Wait...I am starting to feel better....you are right...to hell with the scale...I think it is going to have an accident real soon. ;)

Thanks for the support.

I am stuck!! I now weigh 151, gained a pound!! Definately going the wrong way!! I got out of ketosis..I am not sure what I did. I have been watching things so close..
I did eat some beef jerky, didn't have that much carbs than anything else I ate, but I have never ate it before. Could that have done it????

puzzled & frustrated...how do I get back into ketosis quickly??

Week #1 - 160 lbs.
Week #2 - 160 lbs.

No change.

I'm trying ...... ! I went for a nice long (slow) walk today for about an hour. I felt really good afterwards. I hurt of course, my back is killing me, a nice soak in the hot tub should fix that up.

I've been hard boiling eggs for eat-on-the-run breakfasts and am really trying to keep LC. Guess I need to up the exercise to push me out of my stall.

I weighed myself on Monday, and I hadn't lost a thing from the previous week. Thought it wasn't working 'cos I have done the induction quite well really - no alcohol, milk, caffiene, chocolate, sugar, bread, potato, pasta, etc.

This morning I've lost another 2 Kilos (4.4 lbs) That's 9 Pounds in 2 weeks.

WEll - went to a dinner party last night - had been doing so good ---- till then---- and what's really aggravating - is that 95% of what was served was no/low carbs. But no---- I just couldn't resist that warm roll that passed under my nose - I did eat only one - where the old me would have eaten 2-3 rolls! And then came the birthday cake - couldn't take one bite - had to eat the whole thing! Now I'm bummed and angry at myself.

But I'm back on track and determined to drink extra water today and eat very, very low carbs.

My biggest mistake was getting on that blasted scale this morning - yep - up 2 lbs. OnNly have myself to blame though - oh well - another day another low carber!!!

Hope everyone has a great weekend!

well... i had weigh in last night at the local support group..... considering i did have 1 carb meal this week, i didnt do too badly at all. The scales last night said i lost 1 pound.. question for you guys and gals is.. Should i use the weight from last night at the local group.. (evening weight with some water retention), or should i use the weight from this morning after i got up.. cause if i use the weight from this morning, im down about 2.5. Ive used on my profile last night weight so far, and waiting patiently from word from you if i should change it... i know.. silly isnt it??
well... with last nights weight.. 20.5 to go for the challange, and this mornings weight, 19 to go.. (god i like that number better!! hehe) :D

anyways, im off for now... good luck and congrats to all the LCers today......

Personally I try to weigh myself at the same time every time, which for me, happens to be first thing in the morning after I go to the bathroom. If you've always been listing your meeting weight, then keep going with that. If you want to switch to your morning weight then go for it, but you'll be happiest if you are consistent with your records, IMHO.
Thanks!

Alright...so far this week, I have not lost one pound:( , but I have not gained one either:).....but tonight I weighed myself and I'm at my "morning weight" (I usually gain about three pounds through the day/evening and then lose it by morning...I'm sure this is the norm for many)...so I'm thinking tomorrow could be the day that those pounds drop off. I've heard that some people will stay the same weight for a while and then lose a bunch at once and I hope tomorrow is the day;) I have been 159 for a whole week, with one snack size candy a couple of days ago...so really no cheating and I upped my fats this weekend so we'll see....

157.25 here I come...

I'm starting to think my weight loss is all about the attitude...today I was 157..... . I'm sooo excited. I was sure last night that I would lose and I did (just is case anyone didn't read my post above). I bought I new scale (one that has a trigger finger, instead of electronic numbers), and it said I was 156.5...but I know I need to use the same scale to track realy progress. My boyfriend said this morning, "Erin, this is not like gambling, you can't play the numbers..." (b/c I checked both scales...lol)
Sooo...
Day 19, 10/29, (My Start, everyone's end of week one) - 163.5

Current Weight 154.25

That's 9.25.....

It's funny b/c I looked at a summary of my weight lose before and after I started the Challenge and my loss has become more regular since I've joined(I don't know if that's a norm for atkins - it's day 40). I'm still thinking that my loss is a mind set as well as following the diet. I've lost 3 or 3+ steadily since I started?!?

Since I started a week after the beginners, my challenge lasts 8 weeks...so next week is the half way mark...151 here I come :D

LilSaint, don't get too hung up on the numbers; it's very likely you're losing inches. Taking measurements would be a great idea. Often you will notice that you lose the inches before the weight comes off; LCing promotes body fat loss and muscle mass gain so while you weigh the same you take up less space as one pound of muscle takes up less than 1/3 the space of one pound of fat mass.

Best to keep it to one thread, Shril. Two would confuse; this way there is a history and some continuity :)

Christmas Challenge

Week 1 - 285lbs
Week 2 - 281lbs
Week 3 - 278lbs
Week 4 - 277lbs

Loss is getting slower. I guess I shouldn't drink on the weekends. I had a couple of glasses of wine on Friday and 3 or 4 beers on Saturday. I would like to lose at least three before Thanksgiving because I will probably gain at least two back. Time to load up on the fat. yum

Dave! This is awesome! You should be very proud and excited at the new you! I'm on again and off again on this WOE - hopefully I'm more on than off and then after the holidays I can stay completely on! At least I'm doing something positive for myself and am actually losing a few lbs along the way - I do feel better.

Keep up the good work - you are almost there!

End of Second Week-- 210

I do not like these numbers, but my clothes are still feeling looser, and it's my own fault, I haven't been giving it 100 percent. But I am STILL determined to meet the 25 pound goal!

I'm getting fustrated with not knowing. I've been as little as 15.7 and felt crappy but went WAY overboard and gained back my 1/4"

Well... I try to eat something different everyday but most of the time I have 3 eggs, 4 bacon and 4 pork sausages (meat bought at butchered shop with no sugar added) for breakfast/lunch. ( I don't get up till 11:00 am) I am at work during lunch so I usually make some frozen chicken wings that I buy from the Superstore. I get the Jerk wings which has 0 carbs and bring out the Caesar salad with no croutons. I have a very lack job and I can take off for a few hours during the day. At that time I go for a ride on my bicycle. I usually go for 30 - 40 kms. I do this rain or shine. When I get back I have a weight room in the back of the shop, I lift light weights for about 30 minutes. When dinner comes around I either go out, or I make myself a steak on the BBQ out back.

That is a sample of a day. Other stuff I eat are:

Lunch meat with cheese wrapped in lettuce leafs.
little bags of nuts I keep in my desk for snacks.
Hot Rod beef sausages sticks for snacks.
Hard boil eggs for snacks
Multi Vit and Vit C everyday
Shrimp cocktail rings from superstore
6 - 7 litres of water per day
I get New York and rib eye steak from butchered shop every week
Salad in a bag from super market.

This is just what I can think of now, but I do believe that I am successful because of the exercise that I do. I have a few friends on this diet without the exercise and they are not losing at the same rate, but as with anything you have to really enjoy the exercise or you will stop doing it.

Also, I am near my goal and I can tell my weight lost slowing down. When I first started I was losing an average of 6 lbs a week.

It's time for my ride now. :D Good luck to everyone.

Christmas Challenge
10/29/01 - 285lbs - Start
11/05/01 - 281lbs
11/12/01 - 278lbs
11/19/01 - 277lbs
11/26/01 - 276lbs

Slowly but surely. I can't believe that I lost a pound over the Thanksgiving weekend. That has got to be some kind of miracle. I stuffed myself with bread and stuffing. I figured I only had a day to cheat. I did have a good breakfast and lots of Turkey though. Down 9 total for the challenge. I don't expect to lose 25lbs by Christmas but something is better than nothing.

Boy oh boy, you are so right on the exercise. I'm only LCing for 5 days now, but I can feel the weight coming off and I can also feel the mushy stuff that needs toning. So far the only thing I've done is look at my Tae Bo tapes  , but thanks to you, I am motivated to go ahead and get those endorphines pumping (and I will say that once you start exercising, you feel so good about yourself that it's easy to keep up).

I also agree wholeheartedly that you must find the right exercise for you personality, or it just won't happen.

OMG to be getting close to goal must be exhilerating!!!

God Bless you and look forward to seeing more from you.

I can see why I forgot, looking back onto my calendar...

Day 47, 11/26, (Week 5) - I forgot to weigh myself b/c I was on my thrid day trying to get home from PHL to IND (flight cancelations:()
Day 54, 12/03, (Week 6) - I am 150

I've lost 13 pounds since the beginning of the Challenge, so I guess that means...I'm more than half way there....oh ya. The down side, is that I have less time (only 3 more weeks) to lose about 11.5 pounds...yaaaaa  That's 3.8 lbs a week and that's crazy. I'm definitely not going to hit my goal (Day 75, 12/24, (Week 9) - 138.5), but I'm still in good spirits:)
The only thing that bugs me, is that I KNOW what the problem is...first, after sitting on a plane for 7 hours...I ate the stupid "Sky mix," why couldn't they've still had the peanuts....lol. But seriously, I have been munching more and more on bad carbs. I'm not eating a lot, but enough to slow myself down. I have no idea what I've beening thinking about b/c in about two weeks, I'll be in the Bahamas...in a bathing suit....ahhhhh...lol.
Good Luck to all of you...hope your past couple of weeks have been better than mine.

Well, I hope that everyone is doing well.

Last week, I was 150...
and this week (12/10), I am 148...

So I'm abviously not going to be able to reach (my unrealistic goal) of 3.8 lbs. a week to meet the challenge, but whatever...I'm losing. I lost 15 lbs. since the beginning of this challenge so I'm happy, especially after Thursday I'll be on Paradise Island and in a bikini  Maybe instead of 25 lbs, and lower mine to 20...I think that may be attainable, but who knows, my weight lose has considerably slowed down since I got back from Thanksgiving (it's my fault, but I'm not worried).

Have a great week everyone, and see you when I get back,
E

Shirl,

Don't be depressed, if you follow the plan, the pounds come off, if not 25 by Christmas, then just be glad that you are moving down.

I am not going to put pressure on myself to determine how many pounds down by any certain date, I am just going to be sure to follow the low carb plan of my choice and let the plan do the work. As long as my scale shows reduction, I am going to be happy.

Are you drinking your water?? Adding any exercise?? ;) Counting those carbs??

How can we help??:q:

Shirlfe
Mon, Dec-10-01, 13:06
I am not going to push myself. I did to start with, and I think that is what was wrong. I need to Just relax like you said, and let the plan do the work.
I am drinking my water. I am thirsty all the time. I went over on carbs a few times. Not bad. But this is certainly the way to eat. You don't starve. I know we are going to get this weight off. Hug's, Shirley

I am not going to make the 25 lb challenge either...and not from a lack of trying...my body just will not loose that quickly....so I may make 10...and I will be happy with that...I started at 230, I am now at 222.5 I am just happy that the scale continues to go down...no matter how quickly...

Mon, Dec-10-01, 14:28
Although many of us will not make the 25 pound challenge by xmas. The thing to remember, the scales have went down, we feel better, and by next xmas, I bet we make it..LOL.

You've got the right attitude lilwannabe, it doesn't matter how long it takes us to reach our goal, the important thing is we reach it. No matter how long it takes us, we will get there, one pound at a time.

Congrats to those who did make it, that is something to cheer about :cheer: For those who didn't, well, we still have seen some progress and that is something to cheer about :cheer: Plus, lets not forget, xmas is not for another 15 days, so lets not give up yet. ;)

Happy low carbing everyone!
