Hi there,

I am so glad that I found somewhere to talk about low carbing without the usual - oh my god how bad is that for you - stuff!!!

I have been on Atkins since 10th October and I have lost 10lbs - I have been going to the gym as well and I feel great.

I have really controlled my appetite and have loads of energy - which is great.

I was wondering if anyone could tell me where in the UK - preferably Scotland I could get some low carb foods that are "ready made" like the Atkins products sold in the US???

Look forward to being online with fellow low carbers!

Hi, I'm new to lc-ing, just started today.

Someone mentioned this link on one of the other posts
www.thelowcarbshop.co.uk, I have ordered some ketosis sticks from them, had a quick look at the other products. Bread mix looks really expensive (£6 for a loaf of bread!!!!!!).

Thanks for the link - I will see what I can buy there.

I would rather be spending my money on things that are going to help my weight loss than to a diet class like WWs!

Good luck lo carbing - it is great - although you may get some stick from some people who only read what they see in mags slagging it off - just remember how good you are going to look in no time at all.

thanks again

Hi  Heather,

You managed to lose 10lbs without any Products - Congratulations bBTW.

I don't believe in LC products - reminds me of the multi-billion pound DIET industry that makes its money on the emotional insecurities of people who want to lose weight. I don't believe in playing their game any more.

The power is in education, discerning information and DOING LC which is basically eat plenty of meat, chicken, eggs, fish be very choosy about vegetables and fruit (high water content ones are the best). Simple, easy and cheap .... if I plan well ahead for my meals and make sure my fridge and freezer is nicely stocked up.

Scotland is just such a beauuuuuuutiful part of the country. I've been to Forres and just could not believe the atmosphere, the friendliness of the people, the scenery ... fell in love with the place.
Take care.
