:help: I have been happy all week long this is my second week (11th day) of induction . Last week I started going to the gym and I had lost like 5 pounds I have been walking a tight rope as far as eating all the right foods, doing yoga and pilaties and I went to weigh yesterday because it was after TOM and I thought for sure the water had gone and I would have at least lost 1 pound but it was nothing exactly the same as last week I just can't understand. Oh well Im not sure what im doing wrong. Isn't this to early on for a stall? Hope you all are doing better than I am. Also, I guess I would be feeling a little better is freaking Victoria secrets would keep there swimsuit catalogs out of my mailbox. lol. Have a great day everyone

A stall in the third week is common, even expected. Your body is adjusting to the weight you've lost. Also, I tend to gain weight the week after my TOM rather than before or during - weird, I know, but it happens week after week. Don't fret too much about the scale not moving, just keep doing what you're supposed to and in a couple of days, a week or so, you should start to see things move again.

Victoria Secrets...I'd never been in one of their stores before in my life until a few weeks ago. Thought I'd go in there to see what the big secret was since I'd lost some weight and might even fit into some of their stuff.

What a rip off! I cannot believe women actually pay that sort of money for underpants and bras. Maybe it's just because I don't actually require much in a bra -- at this size, engineering is not necessary to keep things at their proper height, if you know what I mean. But I had sticker shock! I know I'm frugal and all -- that's how I've been able to be a stay-at-home mom for several years, but Goodness!

So don't worry about those gosh-awful expensive bathing suits and undies. You'll find something much nicer and less expensive this summer and you're going to look great in it with all you will have lost by then. Hang in there through this 3rd Week Slump. It'll pass quickly.

Not only are they kind of overpriced, I have yet to find one that is comfortable. Also, for some reason, I am a cup size bigger in their store then anywhere else.

That cup size bigger by their sizing is an ego gimmick, one that you pay for. Also, the more expensive the clothes, the smaller the size you can say that you wear (in some brands) It must work--someone's keeping them in business! LOL Doesn't work for me, I can't seem to work that detail into my conversations LOL
About stalling, it's not really a stall if your body pauses (days or weeks) to adjust to a new weight. You'll start losing again, just hang in there! I stalled for about 4 months. I know it's because of winter, I always basically stall out for every winter physically, not just weight wise. But I noticed my face changed in that time. My face looks like I've lost more weight than I have. And my skin seems to fit right too. Now I've started losing again. So, what my point it, don't feel something's wrong if you don't lose something every day. Be glad of how much you've lost and how good you feel and the rest will come. When I first started reading in this forum, I noticed how many lost a lot right away, and I needed to see that encouragement. Now I'm noticing how many are making this a lifestyle change and are slowly losing. I really need to see that now, as my weight loss has slowed! The important thing is to focus on what can keep you motivated. We'll all get there, smile, Gail

You can also be losing inches instead of pounds. I was at a stall for quite some time but I noticed my size 18 jeans were getting a little baggy on me. I happened to be in my local K-mart and saw they had Lee jeans on sale so I decided to try a size 16 on just for the heck of it. A few months back (before low carb), I couldn't even get the size 16 up past my thighs. Well......do you know.......I had no problem at all getting that pair of jeans on!! I was so happy that I bought them!! Now I wear them all the time and they feel as if they are getting baggy on me. The scale really hasn't been moving so it might be time to take another ride to my local K-mart......lol. I'm shooting for a size 14 now.

Hi thanks you all I guess I need to go out and but a tape measure. I didn't measure before I started but I really wish I had now. OMG, patty I would be beside myself if I would go down a size thats great. What a reward. it's little rewards like that I guess that keep us going. Well I told myself 2 weeks ago that I wasn't even going to get on a scale because like you all say sometimes it's not pounds that come off first and I don't want to be on that wiegh-in roller coaster. Well, Im not sure what the difference is in pounds and inches and I'd like to know but hey this is good news to me and I feel much, much better now thanks to you all and good luck....

Just hang tough, you can do it. Just take one day at a time and you will do fine. Good luck!
