I've been on atkins for over a year, slowly and steadily taking the weight off. Around the holidays I took a bit of a hiatus from LCing. I didn't go crazy or anything so I didn't actually gain any weight but I did stop losing. After new years day I went back on induction and lost only 3 lbs. Then I kept strictly to a lc menu. 30gs or less a day. My keto stix are turning pink but according to the scale I'm not losing weight. What am I doing wrong? Is there a weight your body gets to when it becomes harder to lose? Is plateauing normal? The first 11 mos my weight went down pretty steadily.

:help:
PS I know my scale isn't broken. I weigh my kids and their weight is correct so mine must be, too.

I understand what you are saying, still trying to undo the Christmas stuff myself. If your stick are pink, then you are burning fats. But without knowing what you are eating, it is hard to tell if its your fat or what you are taking in that is being burned. Simply, the smaller you get the less your body needs. You may have to look at two options. One, lower you calories, or two - increase your exercise.

Then I personally think that my body is just holding onto winter fat. Hoping once the warmer weather kicks in, and I am out and about more things will change.

it could be that you are almost to goal, and weight comes off slower, give it time,

Hi Blondemom, first congratulations. You have lost 65 Lbs! This is amazing and you must feel so good. I have been holding at 15 lbs above my goal weight for almost a year. Mind you, I'm not gaining anything, thank goodness. Most people do not lose in a steady fashion like you did. I always went up and down the same 3 or 4 lbs for weeks before finally landing at the lower weight, which then became my higher weight. Very frustrating but also very typical.
All I can say is try to stick to it, and get encouragement from this great forum. Restarting after you fall off the wagon onto the muffin train is really hard. My workplace has a cafe with homemade cakes etc every day. She also makes homemade pizza which you can smell when you walk in. It's a killer. Good luck and hang in there!
