Hey everyone,
I am not alllowed soy in my diet becuase of an underactive thyroid. And i would really love to have some of those low carb bars sometimes, but the advantage ones and alot of others use soy in them. and that sucks for me. I want a snack too:o( anyone know of some low carb snacks that i can have with out the soy?

Look up the recipes in this forum for mock danish and french toast. They are both incredibly tasty and satisfying. Both are quick, easy, and can be made ahead. They contain no soy. Enjoy!--Gail

I just looked up both recipes and both seem fine for induction, but someone correct me if I'm wrong.--Gail

I am sorry to say that I have yet to find a bar that doesn't contain soy. I'm allergic, so I look carefully.
Cheese crackers make a nice snack, and you can buy them premade if you are kitchen-challenged. After induction you can make your own crackers from things like pumpkin seeds or sunflower seeds, and I know there are receipts out there for making your own bars where you can use whey protein instead of soy.
After induction you'll almost certainly have to avoid any premade cereals, many shakes, and some of the chocolate uses soy puffs in the place of rice crispies. Read labels carefully. You'll find it in strange places.
On the other hand, you can make your own hot cereal mix at home. If you get to the point where you are buying protein powder, shop carefully to make sure you get 100% whey protein.
Also, if you're very serious about avoiding soy, know that most commercial products seem to contain it. Almost all commercial salad dressing and mayonnaise are made with soybean oil.
You may not need to be that strict.
