When counting carbs, should I also pay attention to the amount of carbohydrate "that sugars"? Or is this irrelevant? On a packet of Snackajacks, it says 23.0g of carbs and 1.8g which sugars.

I would just pay attention to the 23 carbs and ditch that packet - EEEK! The sugars are included in the amount - that's more than a day's total carbs for next to no nutritional value!

I haven't actually started a low carb diet yet. I've been doing the low calorie ones for ages but they are driving me mad and getting me nowhere. I'm going to try the Dr Charles Clark high protein diet which would mean I would be allowed them snackajacks cos you're allowed 40-60grams of carbs today, but I most certainly wouldn't waste my carb intake on that!

Thanks for the advice.

just like greannmhar said.. ditch them..
