Me and my husband are both on Atkins.Thursday will be one month. We woke up sick this am-vomiting and can't keep even water down. I tried some Pedialyte and it has stayed down, but does this have hidden carbs? I'm so confused and hurt I haven't cheated at all and now we're sick. Please tell me if there's anything acceptable forLcing that we can take or eat. Is the Pedialyte bad should I drink something else? I feel so angry at myself for drinking it, but the water just kept coming up. Any advice is very appreciated :help: Will I need to restart Induction when I'm well?

I think your main concern now is to get better! Your body is telling you something. Listen and then when you get over it, just get back on the wagon! This is just my opinion...

It's far more worrisome for you to become dehydrated at this point, if water isn't staying down but the pedialyte is then by all means drink it. When you're feeling better you can resume with your program.

There is a really bad intestinal flu going around, it usually lasts 24-48 hours, but you'll be a helluva lot sicker if you let yourself get dehydrated.

Hope you and hubs feel better soon.

PS sugar free ginger ale works for me, maybe someone could drop some off to you, I'm sure neither of you care to attempt going out at this point.

Pedialyte has 6 grams of carb per cup. If that's all you are able to keep down I wouldn't worry about it. Just get well and then get back on track. When you reintroduce solids be careful. Scrambled eggs, or chicken broth with a beaten egg stirred into it is nice on sensitive tummys, and low carb too.

Feel better soon!

Thanks everyone! I sure hope this thing passes real soon. I'm trying to chase a toddler and can barely move.(UGH!!!) My husband has been in bed all day...Wish I could do that at this point...I was afraid drinking the Pedialyte today would make my weight sky rocket up-you guys are right though getting better is more important.thanks!
