Is Sorbitol as potent as Maltitol? There is a product that contains it and I am hesitant because I am sugar alcohol sensitive. I can only handle erythritol and glycerine.

not as bad... but too much can still cause problems.

According to the laxation threshold charts I've come across, sorbitol is worse than maltitol:
Sorbitol
Laxation Threshold: 50 g/day
Maltitol
Laxation Threshold: 100 g/day
Although individual response varies greatly, these numbers give a decent rough idea of how a sugar alcohol might effect you. In other words, if maltitol causes you digestive problems, sorbitol will too (at as much as half the amount).

Alls I know is, I don't have to eat anywhere NEAR 100 g of maltitol to get REALLY sick and miserable!
YMMV
