I know only that taste decent to me, it's Oroweat Carb Counting, 6 g net carbs with 3 g of fiber. It comes in 100% whole wheat and Multigrain varieties, and it's sold in SafeWay. It's also Atkins approved but not for Induction.

There are others with less carbs but they are based on soy flour and taste rather gummy.

Thanks! I kept looking at all of these recipes for bread a was a little overwhelmed (I just started) ... THANK YOU! I suppose after induction one piece a day of that bread you mentioned should be okay :D

The only one that I have found to be decent is the low carb "Healthy way" brand bread. It does contain some soy if I recall correctly, but it is mostly sprouted wheat.
I've tryed safeways house brand low carb bread (i think its called "watch 'n carbs"), and demptsters carbwise, both worthy of being garbaged imo. The dempsters one was especially awful.:Puke:
I'd much rather just do without bread myself, since i've also made 4 different versions of homemade lc bread which were just as bad tasting.

I use Village Hearth- Really like the LC Italian. Not sure if it's common brand or not. Hope you can find something that works for you!

Pepperidge Farm has really good white and wheat--6 carbs per slice and a the slices are a decent size, toasts beautifully

I would also vote for the Orowheat. It is carried at Costco, 2 loaves/$4 (or .99 if you have an Orowheat markdown bakery store near you). I keep it in the freezer and take out a slice or two at a time.

I alos really liked the pepridge farm bread the multi grain and wheat. I also like Arnold brand LC bread both found in the bread section at my regular grocery store.

I also use Village Hearth Light. I think there's 3 kinds. Maybe 7 carbs for 2 pieces?? I tried the Village Hearth low carb bread...ew
Okay, so I don't like low carb bread!! :)
Village Hearth also makes hot dog & hamburger buns that are 'light' but are also low carb...

I buy roman meal LC bread (5g net) at the 99 cent store. Publix makes a fresh bakery LC bread as well (6g net). I also buy Nature's Own 100% whole wheat bread (8g net).

Sara Lee bread also has only 9g net and comes in white, wheat, honey wheat, and hot dog and hamburger buns

In my opinion, the Nature's Own is the best tasting, but I don't think it's distributed up north. Sara Lee is good too, but the carb count is a bit higher. The Roman Meal low carb is very good (taste-wise), and although it seems to go stale very quickly, I think it's a good choice at 5 net carbs.
Astrocreep--Have you tried the Nature's Own Double Fiber? It's not as soft as their regular lc bread, but the net carb count is only 5... :)
