hi everyone. i've mostly been on the atkins threads, but i'm thinking about trying SB. i know atkins says that "abstinence" is the best cure for addictions, in my case bread... but i think it is why i keep messing up .i can only hold out for so long and than i cave, which usually costs me 3-4 lbs . so i'm thinking, even if sb causes slower weight loss than atkins, maybe it is something i could stick with alot better. what is the typical weight loss to be expected per week on the sbd? any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Go for it. It isn't about abstaining here, its about the right things. If this works for you, try it, I am :)

My average weight loss has been 1.5 - 2 lbs per week. I've lost almost 70 lbs since last May.
I'm a bread freak too. Maybe knowing I can have some whole wheat or other whole grain bread helps me to stay away from it as when I eat any flour, my weight loss stops. I can have some fruit each day and it does not get in the weay of my losing.
Thats why we experiment with different carbs when in phase II. We learn how our body reacts to different crabs. Your weight loss may not be effected by eating bread but you wont know until you try. :agree:
Good Luck!!
