Do you count calories every day or just the carbs in Phase 1?

I did not and do not count calories or carbs in phase I or phase II.
I followe the food lists as prescribed and still do very well working it this way.
Where did you learn that we count calories?

I never said that South Beach dieters count calories..... I was just wondering who did.

I don't but I occasionally do a ballpark estimate if I hit a couple of weeks of standstill.

I have been counting calories for the last couple of days. I ate way too much at the Holidays and can't seem to get back to eating until I'm just full again. There is a great site for tracking calories, carbs, fats, etc. It's www.fitday.com. I use it now alot. It's a real eye opener to see how many calories you are eating when you don't watch what or how much you are eating.

Like Beeb I use fitday, and while I don't count my calories or carbs and fats, I do see how many I am eating each day when I fill out my food log. If you use the Web version of fitday you can create a link to your menu in your signature so others can see it and give feedback and encouragement.
I use the PC version of fitday, hence no link on my sig. :)
