The final results for the Thanksgiving/Chistmas chow fest are in....I didn't go way overboard but I did eat quite a bit more than usual during the week preceeding each holiday.

After Thanksgiving I had gained 5 lbs....I went back to Phase II for a week and then watched my eating closely and lost the 5 lbs. I then resumed eating my normal Phase III type eating until a week before Christmas. I then proceeded to gain another 5 lbs by last Monday morning. On Monday I dropped back to Phase II and as of this morning I've lost 3 of the 5 lbs I gained over Christmas. I'm at 187 and if I have the results I expect I should be back at 185 by the end of next week.

Maintenance on SB is really fairly painless...after sticking with the SB way of life for a year I have the tools I need to control my weight no matter what the situation is.

I hope everyone has a great new year and SB success.

I gained... quite a bit, but I am back in the saddle and ready to ride on the sands.

Oddly, I managed to continue about a two pound loss per week.......I'm on Phase II, but sticking closer to Phase I than Phase III, if that makes any sense!

I am a stay at home mom and didn't have the temptation of office goodies, etc. I baked a lot, but made sure those goodies were earmarked to go out the door within a day or so! LOL

I did attend one holiday party and the fare was, for the most part, SB acceptable, so I got lucky.

Over the New Year's holiday, we had to attend a funeral out of state and I do think dh was tickled when I was ordering Egg McMuffins and eating the inside with a fork and tossing the muffin. LOL I've told him that I'm pretty flexible as far as restaurants go and I have been pleasantly surprised at the menus........people are catching on to this way of eating!

Pstar,

WAY off topic.....how's the weather in Greeley......my folks live there. Well, now it's just stepdad.......my mom passed away in September at Bonell in the Alzheimer unit. Stepdad is there now.......

We sure love your city!

Sounds like everyone did well with staying in control. I know I really watched what I ate, we weigh in on Wed. So I'm hoping for a loss this week.

I did take a small break from SBD while I was in the Virgin Islands because I had never cheated since I started in June so I figured that I earned it. I did gain 3 lbs from that break but I have already lost 1 lb of it and I am only on day 4 of Phase I. I decided to just go back to Phase I until I lost what I gained and until the carb cravings were gone. It seems to be working out pretty well.

Gained 4 pounds because I just ate way too much, all legal, but way too much. :help: I am still having trouble with the eating thing, but trying really hard to get it under control.

Seeing you are 1 pound from goal I'd say you've got it pretty well under control. Great job so far and good luck with the swift departure of that last stubborn one.
