This place is GIGANTIC!!!! I'm on a few different types of forums, but this is definatly the largest one!! How does everyone keep up? I'm trying...I'm getting people saying hello to me in my journal, and on other posts. I'm trying to respond to them as best as I can. Maybee it will just take me a little time to get the hang of things around here :)

After awhile everything will be second nature. You will find that you tend to hang out in just certain parts of the boards.

I agree with the previous responder. I tend to check out certain boards more than others ie Atkins (since that is the plan I'm on), general low carb, exercise and I visit the newbies section from time to time to see who's new here and possibly get some good tips myself. Good luck and welcome.

I just keep my journal, and check Atkins. But as a newbie I catch myself still tryig to read EVERYTHING on here. The journal is a key I think. You will see who checks in to see how YOU are doing and then you want to stop by and check on THEM! Good luck on the low carb

Dont get stressed, make it fun! Keep your journal, and then just gravitate to what interests you! I agree that after awhile you will find yourself checking in at certain forums more than others.
Its great to surf the threads and just read up on what everyone else is doing, and its easy to lose track of time!! It gets very addicting!!!
Glad to have you aboard!!

Keep up? I try to read everything I can within an assigned amount of time. There are days I would love to spend every minute here, but I can't and get anything else done

I do try to browse the buddies thread fairly regularly to see if there are any new challenges going on as I missed some I would have liked to have been a part of.

I do wish that I had the time to read more. Marty

I have a routine I follow.

First I visit my journal and everyone that visited me in my journal. Then I visit my Subscribed threads and then I go out to see what's NEW POST have been put out or responded to lately.

I find if you subscribe to threads you have responded to it makes it easier to find later then to search for it through tons of post. I also keep a buddy list so that it's easier to find my buddy's journals when I want to visit them then having to search for them by name.

Before you know it, you'll be a pro at it.

Welcome aboard.

I agree. I tend to just look through the forums to find whatever threads interest me.

I go to the research section first, then atkins and the newbies questions. Those are basically my staples. Then, depending on what I am up to or interested in, I may check out the recipe area, general LC, my journal (respond to those who posted in my journal) , products or PCOS. I usually dont go into any other forums unless I am looking for something specific (like a question about paleo) or someone suggests checking out a thread in the warzone or something. Any other forums are just occasional, and there are some forums I have never even visited and I have been on this site for over a year!

I agree with most others. I write my journal. (when I don't get distracted looking around) I have a challenge I am involved in. I check on people there and post. Then I visit other people's journals I have met along the way to say hi and give support. I find that I spend way too much time some days. But it is well worth it! This is the best site I have found. Everyone here is very committed to this WOL.
I am assuming that you are a Jeep fan? We love our Jeep and get out in the woods as much as possible.
Best wishes on your progress.
