Thanks to AFWife for hosting our last LC get together on 28 November at her house, the deep fried turkey was amazing!
We discussed the next meeting and agreed a date of Saturday 5th March 2005 back at the Cafe Rouge, upstairs in Victoria Place, Victoria, London. We were last there 11 months ago. It certainly does not seem that long.
Meet at 12 30 - 12 45 in order to eat at 1 pm.
After dinner we usually move to Molly O'Grady's pub to continue chatting. You can leave at anytime, once you've paid for lunch.
I will book a table in advance and so towards the end of February I will ask you to reconfirm they are attending. I look forward to seeing old friends, but it would be great to see new faces as well. Lunch is great for getting the motivation moving in the right direction!
How to get to Cafe Rouge, Victoria Place.
Enter Victoria Main Line Railway station and head towards platform 14. Go up the escalators which lead to Victoria Place. At the top you will see Dorothy Perkins on the right. Continue walking, keeping to the right till you get to Boots. As you go, if you look up to the floor above you will see Cafe Rouge (red of course) to your right. Then look left and see the escalators up to the food court.
Once up the escalators turn left and then left again to get to Cafe Rouge. It is likely that we will be sitting at the tables at the back of the cafe with the soft red bench seats - the non-smoking area. Afterwards we will probably decamp to the adjacent pub, Molly O'Gradys.
We will meet at the Cafe and I'll bring my Atkins book as well. I'll book the table in the name of LittleAnne. Remember to bring cameras and any photos you have to show your progress.
Looking forward to seeing you there.
So who is coming?

I'll be there - barring disasters. It would be good to meet some new folks as well as catch up with old friends.
Thanks for organising us Anne.
Merry Christmas everyone

I'm really sorry, I can't make it any more :(
I have to go away on business that week and my last meeting is not until the Friday afternoon. Flight connections mean there's simply no way I can get back to London until Saturday evening :o
I wish I could make it, and hope you all have a wonderful time

Unfortunately friends have booked a group outing to see Acorn Antiques on the afternoon of 5th March. If you do meet, I would love to join you but would have to skip off at 2.00 pm. Really sorry about that. It looks like we are a very small group.

One of these days I'll make a "southern meet" but not this time. We go to Paris on March 3rd.

Hi Folks
I'm back in circulation and need to decide if we will continue with this gathering on 5th March. There has not been a lot of interest shown and I see that there are some who are unable to make it.
Reading between the lines the people who have signed up are:
LittleAnne
Tortie - but will have to leave by 2 pm

AF Wife and family
So is it worth it? Would love to see some new faces as well. No disrespect meant to the others.

It would be great to see new faces too. I have to agree with Anne.
It's always great to see the usual group of course but we need a better turn out to make the trip more worth while. It's not cheap getting to London, especially for a family of 4.
So, hope the list grows otherwise we may have to catch ya'll at the next meet.
Cheers!

Know exactly what you mean, and feel that it probably isn't worth it this time. Perhaps we could arrange something else for a couple of months time ??

Well folks the response to our latest get together has been dissappointing, to say the least. With only a maximum of 4 members coming I think I have no alternative but to cancel this meeting. Perhaps when there is more activity on the UK forum we can rearrange.
In the meantime I wish all my fellow low carbers continued success.

I would be interested in meeting others in London from this board. Too late for 5th March but in the future, I will be interested.

If there's another meeting in the Greater London area I'd be delighted to go! I'll definitely turn up; I'm new to this but it'd be great to meet others and get encouragement.
