click on the South Beach ButtonI LOVE Miss Froggy's website. I have visited it many times. I love the recipes. "Miss Froggy" and I have a lot in common: 4 grown children (3 boys and a girl just like me) and we both collect frogs. :)

After trying just about every low carb diet out there, I have returned to the SBD. There have been some changes made in the SBD that make it much easier for me to stay on it w/o cheating. I have developed some weight- related health problems and really need to get serious about losing weight.

Luckily I love the ricotta cream desserts as well as sugar free jello with whipped topping, and I can indulge in SF candy and chocolate a little bit.

I joined the SBD website to get menu ideas, recipes and even more support (I need a LOT of support!). There are people on there from this message board too.

ahh yes! my first opportunity to contribute support to this board! i have many recipes saved from the South Beach Diet forum on another site. hope these can help you out!

OATMEAL CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES
1 Cup of Land-o-Lakes Soft Baking Butter (this is a new product made from canola oil & cream)
1 and 1/2 cups Splenda
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 Cup oat flour
1/2 cup whole wheat flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
1/2 teaspoon salt
3 cups whole grain oats
1 cup semi-sweet mini morsels

-Preheat oven to 350 degrees
-Beat together butter and splenda until creamy
-Add eggs and vanilla - beat well - set aside
-Combine oat flour, whole wheat flour, baking soda, cinnamon, nutmeg and salt together - add to butter/sugar/egg mixture - mix well
-Stir in whole grain oats and mini chocolate chips - mix well
-Drop by rounded teaspoon onto parchment paper lined cookie sheet, flatten slightly and bake for 10 minutes.
-Cool on paper towels. Enjoy!


PEANUT BUTTER CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES – makes 2 dozen Phase 2

½ cup of Land-o-Lakes Soft Baking Butter (this is a new product made with canola oil & cream)
1-cup Natural Peanut Butter
1-cup Splenda
1 Egg
½ teaspoon vanilla
1 ½ cups oat flour
½ cup whole-wheat flour
¾ teaspoon baking soda
¼ teaspoon salt
1 cup semi-sweet mini morsels

-Preheat oven to 350 degrees
-Beat together butter, peanut butter, splenda, egg & vanilla well & set aside.
-Combine oat flour, whole wheat flour, baking soda and salt together - add to butter/peanut butter/splenda/egg/vanilla mixture - mix well
-Stir in mini chocolate chips - mix well
-Take a ½” ball of dough in hands and flatten to a round flat disc and place disc on a parchment paper lined cookie sheet and bake for 8 minutes.
-Cool on paper towels
