Hi everyone...
I'm about to start..going to the grocery store now. The book has juices with every breakfast...but I've seen menus for phase 1 that don't include them. Anyone know what's up with that?
And if I were to make my own menu, is there a format to follow? Like when we did Body For life years ago, it was fist size carb, fist size protien, and a salad.
If I don't want feta stuffed pupper for lunch, how do I plan it out? I also find it wierd that this meal, for instance, doesn't have a protien. Any suggestions?

The only juice that I've seen recommended is vegetable juice which counts as a vegetable and not a fruit. If you don't want to have V8, then have a veggie with your breakfast.
The feta stuffed pepper I do believe, counts the feta as protein.
I have been on this plan for 7 months now and I have not followed their meal plan yet. I use the food lists to chose my foods from and create my own meals that way. However, I do subscribe to their site and get their meal plans daily and do get ideas from it.
also, there is a site, http://mizfrogspad.com that has a very extensive section on South Beach. They have a section called, How to Adapt Your Meal Plan, which I have found very useful in portion sizes.

Day one on the plan proper... made those egg cups or whatever... bleh :)
Its likie an omlette, but in a little cup..hehe

oh...i did get some v8,....do you all drink yours in the morning? ANd I thought tomatoes weren't all that great due to the high GI... but most of the juice is tomato?

Tomatoes are now allowed on phase I so you do need to go to that missfrogs site because she has all the updated food lists.
I drink v8 once in awhile and not every day. I like to chew my veggies, not drink them :lol:

I had my glass this morning..because every day's meal has it..but from what i can tell, the entire books said nothing about the juices...strange. I don't really like it very much...its only 50 cal's though :)
