How do I use Search effectively?

Any tips on using the search feature? This is what I am running into- I saw the wonderful recipe for the Mock Danish, and figured I'd come back to it later (after induction). When I enter that into the search field, I am returned hundreds of entries to journals, but not directly to the right page where it might be listed in that thread. What am I doing wrong?

PS- I did finally find it, but it took forever :help:

Use Google.
I wish I were kidding but I'm not-I just googled mock danish and came up with a page full of recipes-
You have to restrict the search to a subforum and get the right spelling and phrase. It picks up all references to the item so you get a lot of excess .
You can restrict it to show only the entry not the thread but I prefer to wander and not try to pin down one entry.

Thanks for the info. I will play around with the search settings a bit, but Google is a good idea. I thought I was doing something wrong :D In the future, I will save the link if it is something I know I will want to get back to.
