Hi all

It took me ages to understand food labels but hey I am a try-er! When I am looking at the carb count on labels what do I actually look at on the labels with regard to carbs as it is often split into two measurings so is it the sugars contentof the carb? I know bear with me its just that once i get my head around things I do get there.!!

thanks anyway

Total carbohydrates is the carb count and sugars and fiber are included in it. But, some products can have hidden carbs or have already subtracted the fiber and then listed the fiber count separately which can be very misleading. Check in the Low Carb Tips section at the top of the page for an explanation of hidden carbs and the Low Carb Tools for a hidden carb counter.

The safest and easiest way to lowcarb is to eat real food - unprocessed proteins and low-carb vegetables. No figuring out required! ;)
