I LIKE induction, I stayed on induction about 14 months before I started carb cycling and lifting. No problems!

I dont see why anyone wouldn't like Induction, its virtually the same as stage 2, well it is to me >.<

I was eating at induction level for 19 weeks and then I went to 25 carbs a day which has caused me to only lose 1 lb in 2 weeks. (did lose 2 inches) So for the next couple of weeks I am going back to 20 carbs a day so hopefully I can go back to losing 2 pounds a week plus inches. I think my body does better on induction.

I'd say move onto OWL. Increase by 5 g a day per week (ie a week at 25 a week at 30etc) so that you can establish your CCLL (critical carb level for losing.) Once you know this you know just how many carbs you can eat before you start to put it back on again.
Later if the weight loss stops (ie you stall) and you are still on induction, what are you going to do? You can't go back to induction, you'll have no where to go.
You've got to stop looking at this as a diet and think of it as a lifestyle change and make it into one you'll be able to keep up to keep yourself trim forever.
With regard to your holiday I'd say just try to eat generally low carbs - don't go crazy. You'd be amazed at how quick it comes back!

I have been on induction since April 2004 and plan on continuing. I see no harm in it. I give myself little goals, such as trying to lose 10lbs. When I reach my mini goal, I maintain the induction for another week then have a reward. By a reward I will go off the Low-carb plan for 2-3 days and eat whatever I want. This has worked really well for me and I have also noticed that it gives my weight loss a boost. After coming off my reward I seem to loose at a greater rate for a week or two. This is what has worked for me, but everyone is different and it takes some playing around with different ideas to find what will work for you.

You are absolutely wrong Maverick (though not to you of course). Stage 2--OWL--is the point at which you gradually add in additional carbs and begin to systematically add foods that you are not supposed to eat on induction. RCFletcher gives a good explanation of some of this earlier in this thread.
I'm no expert, but it sure seems like while it makes sense for someone with a whole lot to lose to stay in induction longer, folks without that much to lose might be better off working the other stages as outlined in the books and on the atkins.com website so at the end of all of this, they really understand what they can and cannot eat if they hope to maintain both their weight loss and their improved health.

Hi BP, sure, Dr. Atkins says in his books that you can stay on induction
indefinately. Be sure to get enough veg etc, and take a multivitamin.
Also, why not add a little more weight to your workouts? Since a pound
of leam muscle burns 35 to 50 calories per day versus 2 calories per day
for a pound of fat. a little muscle goes a long way. I've only lost 5 pounds
over the summer but am down a whole size. Esp my butt and upper thighs
are dramatically smaller and tighter. Have a great holiday.

I'm in my 6th week and still pretty much sticking with the induction amount of carbs. It's a personal choice! If you don't mind it, then do it. I personally don't mind the foods I'm eating right now and I'm satisfied.
On the other hand...I would be very careful about going off of the way your eating now for a whole week. You could gain 5 lbs. easy in a week of carefree eating. Also you'll be starting your cravings back again and kicking yourself right out of ketosis.
Do you really want to start all over again?
Maybe just treat yourself a little, but try to stick as close to the plan as possible if you don't want to risk things going back to the way they were.
