I am new to the LC diet. I have been on Atkins, but Im not sure if this is the diet for me. I do think the low carb lifestyle is a change I need to make. I have considered changing to the South Beach diet. I have read the SB book, and it seems more my style.
Has anyone here tried both diets and have some advice. I would love to hear from someone that has been in my shoes. I made a Drs appointment for tommorow to get some proffesional advice, but after reading the posts here I think your advice would be helpful also.
thanks everyone!

I think there are several similar posts in the SB forum from people who have tried both. I don't want to repeat what I said there here again, for example:

has quite a few answers to the same question.

Go to the plan review (very top of the forum page, "plans"
to get summaries of plans.

Your physician most likely will prefer SBD over Atkins because
the traditional advice of avoiding high animal fats. Atkins is
still more controversial in the medical field.

Good luck whatever you choose. Margit
