That's how long I've been doing Atkins.
Minus 80 lbs. from when I started that blustery March day, hopeful that maybe this time I'd lose some of the extra baggage that was making me so miserable.
The shortness of breath and the sore knees, ugh!
The breathing is so much better, I don't sound like a fire breathing dragon after walking only a short distance anymore. The knees still hurt, the cushion between the joints is worn out so there's really not much to do save a knee replacement and I've been told I'm too young for that yet.
Sleeping better too, not waking up from the feeling that I'm half choking to death, so I'm in a better frame of mind too, amazing what an undisturbed night's sleep does for one, actually that's not true either, I get up 3-4 times per night to go pee but that's fine, I go on automatic pilot and half the time don't even wake up fully between my bed and the adjoining bathroom.
I realize that after 6 months the weight loss will tend to slow down a tad and that's okay, I'll be able to wear my new clothes a little longer maybe. :D
Good luck to everyone on their chosen WOE, it really does work if you stick to it faithfully.
