My presnt blood pressure is 160 over 90. My doctor won't treat it as he has fed all my data into a computer programme (don't smoke, seldom drink, moderatly overweight, parents no history of heart illness etc) and come up with a figure which means I've got a pretty low chance of a heart attack.

I'm not happy with it however and I'm trying first suppliments then excercise to lower it. I don't want to do both at the same time or I won't know which one is working.

I take:
Flaxmeal porridge for breakfast most mornings with 15g of soy bran (for the omega 3's and fibre)
300iu vitamin E
Extra low salt (for the potassium)
magnesium, calcium and zinc tablet
garlic capsule.
2g of vitamin C
2 Omega 3 fish oil tablets.

I have now bought Coenzyme Q10 (ouch expensive) and taurine and will add these next week.

Dissappointing to have no change but I'll give it a month. Dr A says 80% of people can be cured of hypertension using this regieme. I bet I'm one of the other 20%!

I have, although m experience is quite different from yours.

When I was pregnant with my daughter, my doctor found I had high blood pressure - it's a worrying symptom during pregnancy because it can lead to preeclamsia. When I got home, I had a snack and took 2 capsules of garlic, then I took 2 more with my dinner. I took 6 capsules a day (2 at each main meal) for the next two weeks. When I went back, my blood pressure was perfect.

My dad has lowered his by drastically reducing his intake of sodium, doing cardiovascular exercise and drinking a lot more water, as well as taking garlic and B complex.

Good luck

I have lowered my blood pressure, but I think that exercise was every bit as important as the supplements.

At least, I am off the BP meds which were very debilitating for me.
