Hey guys, I had a really neat moment that happened a few days ago and I just wanted to share. I was tucking the kids in and my oldest, he is 12, came into the room to give me a hug goodnight and when he hugged me he wrapped his arms all the way around my middle and said "Hey daddy, I can wrap my arms all the way around you now" We just sat there and hugged for a long time he is a very sweet and sentimental child and when I started to tear up so did he. It was a special moment, he is my biggest cheerleader and my most special friend. When he was born I weighed 370lbs I am now at 384 and I told him the other day in a few more weeks I will be smaller then I have ever been in YOUR whole life. He really thought that was "cool". My youngest son who is 7 now gave me a special compliment in his own little way, he told me my head was getting smaller. LOL

it is so great you have your own cheering section!.. awesome for you.. my S/O is very supportave and my youngest daughter will say something once in a while.. especially after I mention a loss.. but for the most part.. ppl are not saying anything encouraging.. and my family (brothers.. mean.. mean.. mean) all grown with spouses.. say more along the lines.. "if you were'nt so big to begin with".. everyone of them married smaller women.. (much smaller).. but I cheer me on.. and I am not feeling boo-hoo, cause I KNOW that I am doing great.. I was just thinking how nice it would be to have someone at home who is so encouraging as your children..

ps.. did your younger son mean you had a big head?.(conceited) ... haha. this is a joke.. please dont get offended... I know for me the weight loss started in my face, and then in the boobs.. great!!.. just where i dont want to lose.

my hubby said the same thing to me recently.
He said Wow its smaller!
:) It is so great! he doesn't realize my losses since he sees me everyday, so to hear this made me very happy and more motivated.
Thanks for sharing your story, I bet you are still beaming about it!

Yes it was really a cool moment, comes in a close second to my son and I riding our first ride at a amusement park. That is one of my best days I think. To have him hold my hand and tell me "daddy you did it, we are riding a ride together" still brings tears to my eyes. I will never forget it, and the best part I dont think he will either.

That is such a sweet story, it must have made your whole day! That's the kind of motivation that you just can't get anywhere else.

You are making me teary eyed! What a sweetie!!! I can't wait for my daughter to tell me something other then "what is that for, your stupid diet". She is so active and I hope she never has to go through anything that I did. Little does she know that she is eating my stupid "diet" food at dinner...lol.
My clients at work are looking at me funny!
Seriously though.. that was a very sweet story and very motivating to everyone.
My teenagers sometimes talk about how far I have come and how HUGE I was before. They are proud of me but I am finding out now just how much me being so big bothered them. They were too kind to really say much before but I guess they feel safe now that I have kept this much weight off for quite a while.
Its really nice not to be so different from their friends' moms now.

undefined I hope it is a life good not a diet thats what is hard for those in the medical field to understand. I have been repeatedly told by nurses and doctors you can't do that. :yum:
