I was in Easons on O'Connell street yesterday, and they had 3 or 4 different lc cooking books ;-) and all on the top shelf

I didnt have a lot of time to look, since I was late for the cinema, but just seeing the books was nice - another little step to get lc into the country.

Anybody every buy any of the lc cooking books? If so, which ones did you get and were they useful for you??

I've got loads of them - mainly from Amazon. The best one is Dana Carpender's 500 low carb recipes - its got UK measurements and ingredients, and nice simple yummy recipes. I find the Atkin's recipe books quite poor - american measurements and bizarre ingreients!

I got the Dana Carpenter 500 recipe book on saturday. So far havent attempted to cook anything from it yet, I think I'll give it a go at the weekend. I went through the book and bookmarked a lot of the recipes, they sound quite tasty I'd have to say, and most of them also seem to be quite easy - well see how it goes.

I didnt really like the atkins book, the pics are nice, but I tried one peanut cookie recipe, and it turned out absolutely horrible.
