I have lost 24 lbs in about 6 weeks. I take 125 mcg of Thyroxine and am still not 'normal' visit the endo for checks each eight weeks, I was only diagnosed in January 2004 but have had problems I think for years.
Atkins appears to work better than most diets for people with Thyroid problems.

I have been on Atkins since February, and I have lost 58 pounds of my total loss in that time. I'm 55 years old, so it should be much easier for you to lose at your age. I hope you do well and lose the weight you want to lose. I think Atkins would be a good way for you to lose the weight, and also to develope a life long plan to help you keep from having the weight problems someone with hypothyroid can have. I wish I had learned to eat this way when I was your age. My daughter who is eighteen has lost about the same amount of weight that I have. She is also doing Atkins. Anyhow, I think you will be able to lose the weight you want with Atkins.

Are you eating soyproducts? Hmm... count you post a meny to se what a regular LC day would look for you.
I got a little tip for you. Get some coconut oil/butter and have about 3T a day. That could raise your temp and break that stall... well, everyone (incl me) say it has helped them in somee way.
Read this thread, it has alot of good info and such about the coconut oil and how it has helped them.

What else.... I also read raw cauliflower, cabbage and some other veggies are no nos. Anyone out there that knows more about this? I couldnt find it in about.com as someone suggested.
Good luck!

Hey Girlie! I don't se any veggies at all..only that one half of an avocado. This really doesnt work as well without the complex carbs. Where do you get your daily carbs from? And how about the fat? I dont se any veggies or fat in you lunch. I suggest you get a journal and post whatever you have eaten so that we could help you make better choices... Ill definetly help you if you wish to. Have a great day... Ill se you around!
