:help: I have hasimoto and was put on .100 cytomel a and .1 synthyroid. Went back to endo and I have lost 10 lbs. But he took me off cytomel and uped my synthyroid to .175. He also said that there was no proof that the addition of cytomel was effective. Does anyone know if there is any proof. I was great on cytomel and am scared that I will stop losing weight. If anyone can tell me the difference or help me I would be very thankful. I have had these symptoms for four years and it was just figured out this March. Plus I am overseas and have a German endo I dont understand very well. So he couldnt really explain anything.

I was on cytomel 3 yrs ago. They have dicontinued it. I have not had any for about 3-4 weeks now. My dr is researching what I can go on now.
All I can tell you is for the last week now I have had all my same syptoms back that I had 3 yrs ago. ( no memory, bloated stomach, tired so tired that I can not go without a nap in the afternoon and just generally feeling terrible again). I am new at researching this sort of stuff but I can tell you I will do just about anything to find some cytomel. Good luck nicad22
