tried this yesterday with some chicken

it's good, quite tastey, of the sweet tomatoey sort of BBQ sauce, not bad but we're more used to the hot, vinegary type sauce here on the East Coast

thinking about adding some Tabasco and cider vinegar to the bottle--hope I don't ruin it! (will let you know how the experiment turns out)

for those that like the sweet BBQ sauce though, I recommend it

Being here in NC, I agree with the hot, vinegary comment. I add the vinegar and hot sauce, along with a healthy shaking of crushed red pepper and just a touch of Splenda. It has a thinner texture so I use less (gotta watch those hidden carbs...).

that sounds really good, Steve--thinking I'd like it better than CarbOne, thanks!

Hi - Here is my recipe for vinegar bbq sauce

1 cup vinegar
4 tablespoons low carb ketchup (I like Atkins Ketchup)
1 1/2 tablespoons Xylitol or other sugar substitute
1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
1 teaspoon cracked black pepper
1 teaspoon celery seed
Mix all ingredients. Let sit, covered, overnight (although we have used it the same day!). Serve with barbecued pork shoulder.
