Thank you for the answers regarding the pork rinds. This is where I get confused, it is not on the list of approved foods for induction but it is ok to eat. I am gathering it is bacause it has no carbs? What about slim jims? I think they might be ok, similar to maybe pepperoni?

From what I've been told, Slim Jims are a-ok. I've been eating them incessantly for the past week (I just started), and I have lost weight. It's my saving grace re: snack times!

Just watch the sodium and be sure to count the carbs. And be aware that while you CAN have some of this stuff without it messing things up, the emphasis should always be on fresh, unprocessed foods. Anything like this should be limited.

The real slim jims and real beef jerky made by slim jim (at least the ones I'm buying) only have about 0.4-0.6g of carbs per piece, so to me they're the perfect snack. And, I drink so much water during the day that the sodium hasn't bothered me yet. good luck!

Just wanted to note that pork rinds are basically just pork and salt so they would be considered "on the list" in my mind.

Some brands of dried beef snacks have more sugar than others. Grabbed the wrong brand at Sam's one day and had to give the rest away--induced cravings for me. But other brands are fine. Think they actually improve after a few weeks in the glove compartment. I keep them everywhere in case I don't get to a meal on time.
