ok it said for 1 large egg it is only 0.6 carbs but on my egg carton it says 1 carb and I looked at different brans at different store is this true or are they just rounding off? because i always count 1 carb per egg.

They are rounding up...unless the eggs are huge!

My egg carton doesn't list any nutritional information.

No neither does mine, but the carb counters are pretty much all in agreement about eggs - and like Robert said they are rounding it up.

really? maybe because I buy the 5 dozen egg package but I think they have it on the 1 dozen cartons too. oh well I guess I'll just keep counting 1 carb per egg just to be on the safe side.

does it really matter? sorry, this isn't a rhetorical question...have people seriously had trouble with the one additional carb? because if so, it might explain why problem with slow weight loss...i always thought the egg carb was so low glycemic that it didn't matter! help!! (?)

I count each egg as 1, too. During Induction, every carb DOES count, and it's important to keep at 20.
In the later stages of Atkins, you don't have to be quite as particular, and an extra carb here or there won't hurt.
But again, for Induction....count every one of the little devils!

Every egg carton I have ever had (all sizes) also lists each egg as 1 carb. It does matter for me. When in doubt I always round up. Even when something says <1carb I count it as one. Those little 1/2 carbs can really add up, and put you over your limit, if you think of it as a free food. I hear people say that they try not to eat any carb at all and I think "do they just eat meat?" I often make myself a cheese omlet (made with two eggs, a splash of cream and 2 slices of american cheese) and a side of bacon or sausage. I count that as 5 carbs.
