Even on LCing, you do get gains from PMS. It's quite possible to gain 3-8 pounds for the week before TOM. Luckily, it goes just as quickly since it's just water.

Or if you've been exercising, you could have gained a pound or two of muscle which could show as a gain, or at least not a loss. Have you checked how your clothes are fitting? That is a far better measure of how you are doing than those cheap unreliable scales we all have. If you clothes are "getting bigger", then ignore the number on the "metal monster".

And be prepared that LC losers tend to weigh more pounds than low fat losers because we keep our muscle mass and even increase it. But we are SMALLER than the weight would indicate. You are 5'5" tall so 142 isn't outside the range that is good for you. Be patient and don't toss the Carbage Monster any biscuits.

Is it that time of month ( TOM )? Never weigh yourself at that time. You will set yourself up for disapointment. Are you exercising? Exercise will also put a little weight on you before you lose it. Did you measure yourself? That is the true definition of weightloss, not the scale. My weight jumps like that quite a bit. I am also perimenopausal so there are many things to factor in when dealing with weight fluctuations.

I would like to say that it is PMT or TOM but its not,as for exercise i'm doing the same exercise as i have allways done, if anything i would say that i need to do more.

Sometimes extra salt can sneak into your diet too...and you'd be amazed at water bloat will do on your scale. Thank heavens it usually disappears quickly!

I find I'm replacing 'sweet' with 'salty' and I'm eating more salty foods.

Try boosting your water intake WAY up for a day or 2 -- that could flush you out (pun intended :p )!
