"This study provides evidence in support of the premise that
free radicals resulting from spinal cord injury contribute to
spinal cord damage. In this laboratory model the efficacy of
intrathecal AEOL 10150 was superior to intravenous
methylprednisolone, which is currently the most commonly used
pharmacologic treatment of spinal cord injury in humans,"
stated Dr. Warner.

"Neurodegeneration, in various forms, is a focus of Aeolus. We
have filed an IND for AEOL 10150 and shown benefit in an
animal model of ALS, which involves the degeneration of motor
neurons. "
